The theater is a historical building that opened during the early 1930′s and had live shows, and film. It also entertained more than 6,000 troops who at the time of WWII were stationed at the fairgrounds. It is now under restoration plans.

I have come here a couple of times and both times I have sat on the balcony. I'm not a huge fan of standing the whole time for a show so I like that they have balcony seating. There is free parking just a couple of blocks away, so I always park there. One bummer about the venue is that seating is first come, first serve, not assigned. So you have to get there early and stand in line to make sure you get a seat. Ticket prices are pretty low though and it's the closest venue to me, so I'll keep coming back!
