Bark for Life of Moreno Valley

By Megan McClain

Walking your dog can be great for you and your dog's health and well-being, so why not take a walk to benefit someone else's health and wellness?

The American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life event encourages participants to bring their best four-legged friend to help raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Canine caregivers, which include companion, guide, service, police, diagnostic and other dog roles, partner up in relay teams to raise money. Teams walk a mile to rise money and are usually surrounded by doggie games, a dress-up contest, demonstrations, entertainment and more.

It’s a participatory event for the whole family, including your favorite four-legged members.

Want to walk your dog for a good cause? The next Inland Empire Bark for Life event is Aug. 13 at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley. You can register to participate online here.

There are also two August Relay for Life events for teams to raise funds in a longer relay session in Big Bear on Aug. 21 at Veterans Park and on Aug. 28 at Rialto Middle School in Rialto.

The American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life relay fundraisers supports the effort of the American Cancer Society. Bark for Life of Moreno Valley is Aug. 13 at Valley View High School, located at 13135 Nason St, Moreno Valley, CA 92555.
