With Valentine's Day right around the corner, there's no better excuse for getting a little crafty. I am so excited to share an easy DIY Valentine Banner with you this month! You can make this with a few basic craft supplies, and it won't break the bank. Whether you're looking to decorate your home, office or classroom, this easy project is great for adding a little color and seasonal flair to your space.

Here is the supplies list:

Scrabook Papers
Scissors
Twine
Clothespins

Optional Supplies:

A die cut machine & heart shaped die (i.e. a Sizzix Big Shot or similar machine)

Valentine Banner in 2 Easy Steps:

1. Take your scrapbook papers and cut out heart shaped pieces, they do not have to be all the same size—be
creative! They can be different colors. My banner is what I consider modern glam, I used glitter paper and
black! I thought it was fun and looked great against the heart that I created using some pink Duct Tape.

2. Once you have your hearts cut, you should take a piece of twine about 1-2 yards long, and begin to clothespin each heart to the twine. Once you have them clothespinned to the twine, you are ready to hang your Valentine Banner!

See how easy that was? You can change it up for the seasons—for summer you can cut suns, for the fall you can cut up leaves and for winter you can make stockings! There are a lot of possibilities, and you can add embellishments like small buttons or gems too.
