As part of the Sunday Night Specials series of events, LifeHouse Theater will present the Johnson Family Quartet, blending southern gospel-style songs with the beloved old hymns of the faith.  The concert will feature the family performing a wide variety of its work, including some vintage pieces and current stylings.

The Johnson Family Quartet will perform for one night only, Sunday, July 10, at 7 p.m.  Advance tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-11. Current LifeHouse Theater season passholders can purchase adult tickets for $10.  Tickets can be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling (909) 335-3037 or online at www.boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1-6 p.m. and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends.  Tickets are $1 more the day of the performance. Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as seats are limited.

The Johnson Family Quartet began as Don and Beth, parents of then-10-year-old Bonnie Sue and 9-year-old Ben, were encouraged to enter the Talent Showcase of the 2002 WSGMA Spring Singing Convention.  The family won first place singing an a cappella hymn.  Since that time, they have sung to audiences around the West Coast primarily, but not exclusively.  In the summer of 2005, the Johnsons had the opportunity to attend the prestigious Ben Speer's Stamps-Baxter School of Music in Nashville, Tenn., where, in trio form, they were honored by singing on the coveted closing program.  The family enjoys singing for churches and various banquets. Community events such as “Christmas in April” (an event for the purpose of helping those with housing needs) have enjoyed their energetic and positive musical entertainment for their auctions. Tight four-part family blending is a hallmark quality that the family strives for, because they know it is much sought after by discriminating audiences who enjoy this style of harmony.

“We are very excited to have the Johnson Family Quartet come and share their talents with us on our stage,” said LifeHouse president Wayne Scott.  “Guests are in for a great evening of incredible harmonies and musical fun.”

On select Sunday nights, LifeHouse Theater will present special one-act productions -- both plays and musicals, along with special events ranging from dramatic to comedic and from inspirational to hilarious.  Each Sunday Night Special will be presented for either one- or two-night engagements.

The theater is located at 1135 N. Church St. in Redlands, next to the Redlands Christian School.  Free parking is available in back of the theater.  More information can be found by visiting the website. For more information, call (909) 335-3037.
