LA On Tap

Breweries that put their beers to the test in the recent Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition will see what the public thinks at the LA On Tap beer festival at Fairplex in Pomona on May 7.

More than 65 noted breweries will be pouring more than 150 of the brews they entered at the 2016 Los Angeles International Beer Competition. The event will run from 2-6 p.m. and will feature unlimited beer samples, food, live music and souvenir LA on Tap tasting cups.

Online general admission tickets are $50 ($60 at the door) and early 1 p.m. entry tickets are $65 ($75 at the door). Designated driver admission is $10. Parking at Fairplex is $10. All attendees must be 21 or older to gain admission.

A number of local breweries captured awards this year and are scheduled to participate, including Claremont Craft Ales, Rök House Brewery (Upland), Last Name Brewery (Upland), La Verne Brewing and Sanctum Brewing (Pomona), Heroes Restaurant and Brewery (Riverside), Wicks Brewing Co. (Riverside), Wiens Brewing (Temecula), Refuge Brew (Temecula) and Sons of Liberty Aleworks (Norco).
