SoCal Families | 7 Things To Do This Week 9/5-9/9/2016

 

Let’s stretch those imaginations this week by getting crafty. It doesn’t matter which corner of the IE you live in . . . exercise your creative muscle, and get your hands on an art project.

MONDAY

9/5, Painting – Ceramic Paint Bar at Ceramic Cupboard in Norco from 11a.m. to 6p.m. Cost to use the paint bar is $6 for a day with the purchase of at least one ceramic item. You and your family can create wonderful masterpieces with unlimited use of over 100 colors. Brushes, sponges and stencils will be provided for those using the Ceramic Paint Bar, and an instructor will happily provide basic instruction as needed.

 

TUESDAY

9/6, Kids Paint – 'Hungry Panda' Painting at the Purple Easel at 4:30p.m-6:00p.m. Suggested ages 5-12 years old and price is $20. Adults are free to observe for FREE. Must register in advance.

 

WEDNESDAY


9/7, Paint- Pick, paint, and take it home at Color Me Mine in Riverside. Open from 10a.m. to 9p.m. on weekdays. Price varies on the price of item to paint. 

 

THURSDAY

9/8, Family Night – Family Night at Moreno Valley Public Library at 6p.m. This library event is one-of-a-kind—it’s an all-ages event that provides craft projects, music and story times for the whole family. As a MoVal staple that provides families with free fun every Thursday, this is a night you don’t want to miss.

9/8, Kids Craft – Story Time and Crafts at Howard Rowe Branch Library in San Bernardino at 10:30a.m. Consider this story time and craft a two-for-one type deal. Young minds will explore exciting literary adventures, and they will also have the chance to exercise their inner Picasso by doing a craft.  

 

FRIDAY

9/9, Science Project – Ooey Gooey Science at Pennypickle’s Workshop in Temecula from 5:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. Activity costs $5 per person. This hands-on experiment is a little less crafty, but it’s still an engaging and enlightening experience for children. Watch as young minds discover the difference between liquids and solids, as well as them testing out other scientific concepts.

9/9, Painting Projects – Paint With Us at Sawdust Factory in Upland from 9a.m. to 4p.m. Workshop is $4 per person in addition to the cost of the project you choose to create and paint. Call ahead to ensure space is available. If you can imagine it; you can paint it! From cars and other methods of transportation to bug boxes and picture frames, children and adults can paint and build tons of fun projects at Sawdust Factory.
