You Know You're From The IE When . . .

By: Katrina Honer

While not everyone knows where or what the IE actually is, *(SIGH)*, rejoice in the fact that we IE Natives can stand together and understand the every struggle and the every truth that makes up our glorious Empire.

1. 99.1 KGGI is your number one favorite radio station.

There's ODM & Evelyn In The Morning and then DJ Nick Nack who not only rules the airwaves at night but probably DJ’d at your high school prom.

2. You commute to Orange County and endure the “Corona Crawl.”

Corona takes the number five spot in the 50 Worst Commutes in America according to FindTheHome.com with the average commute time being 38.9 minutes. At least you have the radio.

3. You crave Baker's.

Yes it’s true—you can only find Baker’s in the IE. They serve burritos and tacos too. Get your fix at any one of these locations here.

4. You've purchased the sweetest oranges around from Gless Ranch.

This family owned business has been around since 1907. And $10 for 25 pounds of oranges is a STEAL. Orange you glad they’re around? Just in case you never been, check out their Yelp page to see more of what they sell.

5. You've viewed the Festival of Lights.

The Festival of Lights is so epic that it actually took the number one spot for the Best Public Lights Display in USA TODAY Best Readers' Choice contest. Going on 23 years strong, be sure to make it to the actual lighting ceremony which takes place the day after Thanksgiving. Read about it here.

6. You've been to the Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion.

Three days of admiring classic rides and hot rods on the Mother Road? 'Nough said.

7. You've been to Castle Park at least once.

Whether you took your child, went on a school trip or you simply like this place, you can't beat 25 rides, bumper cars and even a venue to hold your next party. Plus, it’s cheaper than Disneyland. Bring back the nostalgia and plan your next visit today.

8. Your staycation is either Big Bear, Palm Springs, LA or San Diego.

We are pretty much about an hour away, (give or take), from other major cities. We have options.

9. You represent the Ontario Reign.

Mega props to you if you were a Reign fan when they played in the ECHL.
