Hi neighbors -
How are you enjoying “Focus on Claremont” week so far? Have you learned a thing or too about the city’s charm and uniqueness? Yesterday I shared my experience at Heirloom Claremont with you all and today we’re going to get to know Maple Boutique. I was on my way to Vanilla Sunshine Cupcakery when I passed by the boutique and was stopped in my tracks by the beautiful white and modern combined with woodsy interior. How could I resist?
I spoke with the very helpful and fashionably dressed Julie and she told me that the boutique had only been open for two weeks and moved from Wrightwood to our neck of the woods. I’m glad they did because I then had a chance to speak with the store owner extraordinaire – Amy – and feature her fantastic boutique in our Local Star interview during “Focus on Claremont” week. On top of all that, super generous Amy is offering a 10% OFF ALL PURCHASES when you mention IEShineOn and this blog post!
So without further ado, here’s our introduction to Maple Boutique.
Q: How would you describe your business?
Maple Boutique is unique in the fact that all of our clothing racks are suspended Manzanita branches, our display tables are made of raw wood and logs and everything is hung on recycled wood hangers. We pride ourselves in hand picking every item that is in the store and we carry a limited selection – that way your item is special! We carry lines like It Jeans, See Thru Soul, Kut, BB Dakota, and Alternative Apparel to name a few and all of our accessories are under $15! We get items in a couple times a week, so it’s always new and fresh inside Maple! At Maple believe in little special personal touches to make you and your purchases feel special.
Q: Where is your business located? What city?
We are located at 456 W First St in the Claremont Village. You can also find us online at www.mapleboutique.com
Q: How long have you been in business and in Claremont?
We have been in business for 4 years! We started in Wrightwood and just recently relocated the store 2 weeks ago!
Q: Why did you choose to locate your business in the IE?
I grew up in the IE and wanted to bring something new and different to the people of the IE!
Q: What do you like about being in the Inland Empire?
It’s home! The IE has so much to offer, so many different areas to uncover and discover.
Q: What do you hope to see happen with your business in the next year?
We have had such an amazing welcoming to the Claremont Village and I hope that only continues. I hope that Maple becomes a destination to seek out when visiting the Village!
Q: Do you have a family tradition that’s IE specific?
Every year we do the Walk to End Alzheimers in Ontario in honor of my husband’s Grandpa.
