It's official!  The most wonderful time of the year is upon us. Holiday parades, tree lightings, meeting Santa and pop up shopping events have hit the Inland Empire.  Our Inland Empire Holiday Events Guide has all the best local holiday season events. So, grab your family and friends and get ready for some holiday cheer!

 

INLAND EMPIRE HOLIDAY EVENTS

RIVERSIDE HOLIDAY EVENTS

Now through 1/3, Festival - Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn nightly. Carriage rides available around the Mission Inn, skating rink downtown, visits with Santa. See website for more details.

12/5-6, Crafting -  Holiday crafts workshop with Mothership Scrapbook Gal at Sweet Epies. Friday classes are a wreath at 6 p.m. and cards at 7 p.m., Saturday classes are a wreath at 2 p.m., gift wrapping class at 3 p.m. and Christmas cards at 4 p.m. Classes are $25-30, or both Friday classes for $50 and Saturday classes for $65.

12/5, Concert - 67th annual Candelight Vespers Concert at La Sierra University Church beginning at 7:30 p.m. $25 general admission, $55 mezzanine and golden circle.

12/7, Santa - Pet pictures with Santa from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. $20 donation, receive disk with 2 photos.

12/7,  Skating  - Breakfast with Santa and performance by figure skating team at Roller City 2001 from 10:30-12 p.m. Admission is $3, breakfast items from $1-5.

12/12, Crafty Happy Hour - Drink, Craft & Be Merry at the last CHH of the year at Packinghouse Brewering Co. $5-$10 per craft project - holiday cards and a B.Y.O. Sweater Ugly Sweater Craft kits

 12/19, Dancing - Winter Wonderland Dinner and Dance at Dales Senior Center from 6-9 p.m. for ages 55 and over. $10.

12/20-21, Ballet – ‘The Nutcracker” choreographed by David Allen at Landis Performing Arts Center at 1 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $15-37.

12/21, Movie - Free showing of “A Muppet Christmas Carol” at La Sierra Library at 2 p.m.

12/21, Bike Ride - “Christmas in the Tropics” 5-mile bike ride through historic Riverside beginning at City Hall at 4:30 p.m. Free to the public.

12/21, Movie - “White Christmas” at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 4 p.m. Tickets are $15. 

12/27,  Ballet - Inland Pacific Ballet performs “The Nutcracker” at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $36-65.

12/30, Concert - Straight No Chaser at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40-65

REDLANDS HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/5-8, Concert - 67th Feast of Lights performances at the University of Redlands’ Memorial Chapel. Worship service with performance, tableaux, music and choir. Performances are Friday, Saturday and Monday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 4 p.m. General admission is $25, seniors are $15, students $10.

12/6-7, Home Tour and Craft Fair - Craft Boutique and Pantry Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Redlands YMCA. Homemade items and art, proceeds benefit the legal aid program. Holiday Home Tour Sunday from 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., tickets $25 per person, $30 at the door. $70 patron ticket includes champagne brunch.

12/6,  Festival - Heritage Park Christmas Celebration from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Local vendors, decorations, and touring the Asistencia, Barton Schoolhouse and Grove School Farm.

12/6,  Parade - Christmas Parade through downtown Redlands beginning at 6 p.m, traveling east on Citrus then west on State. Warm dress recommended.

12/7, Tree Lighting - Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Kimberly Crest House and Gardens beginning at 6 p.m. Caroling, ginger cookies and apple cider and an opportunity to visit Santa.

12/7, Handmade Market - Little Brown Bag, A Handmade Market is back this holiday season with more awesome vendors. Shop unique items perfect for holiday gifts!

12/13,  Craft -  Free Christmas crafts at the library beginning at 10:30 a.m. for grades K-6 while supplies last.

12/19, Party - Ugly Sweater Party and CJ’s birthday at Brewcakes from 5-10 p.m.

 

SAN BERNARDINO HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/5, Fundraiser - “The Glory of Christmas Tradition” evening gala benefitting Santa Claus Inc. at the National Orange Show Events Center.  Cocktail hour and tree preview at 6 , dinner at  7 p.m. Live music, raffles, holiday boutiques and more. Tickets are $135.

12/6, Luncheon and Fashion Show - “The Glory of Christmas Tradition” luncheon and fashion show to benefit Santa Claus Inc. at the National Orange Show Events Center beginning at 10 a.m.

  12/20, Concert - “Home for the Holidays” with holiday classics performed by the Redlands Symphony Orchestra at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Strolling carolers before the concert. Tickets are $20-55. 

 

CORONA HOLIDAY EVENTS

12.7, Tree Lighting – Tree lighting ceremony from 4-7 p.m. in the South Lawn of City Hall. Live entertainment, holiday train, photos with Santa, and a snow lay area.

12/13, Snow Day - Snow day at The Shops at Dos Logos from 1-4 p.m.

12/19-21, Theater - “Winter Wonderettes” at Christian Arts and Theatre Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $14 adult, $12 child, senior or student. 

11/22, Tree Lighting – Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Crossings at Corona beginning at 6 p.m. Santa arrives, performances by Santiago High School and the All American Boys Chorus. Event is held by large fountain in front of Edwards Theater.

 

CHINO HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/6, 5K Run - Third annual Reindeer Romp 5K Run/Walk at the Chino Valley YMCA. ½ kids run/walk begins at 8 a.m., 5K at 8:15 a.m. Registration is $35, contact YMCA for kid’s fun run application.

12/13,  Parade and Fair- Parade begins at 9 am at Riverside Dr. and Yorba Ave, ends at City Hall for Fair. Free carnival rides, entertainment, craft fair and more until 3 p.m.

 

CLAREMONT HOLIDAY EVENTS

Now through 12/27, Theater - “It’s Christmas Every Day” at the Candelight Pavilion Dinner Theater. Dinner and show ticket are $53-68. Performances are Wednesdays through Sundays. Thursdays, Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sunday matinees at 11 a.m.

12/5-6, 12/13, 19-20, Luminaria –Evening walks with live acoustic music over a half mile of luminarium -lit trails through the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden from 6-9 p.m. First night is for members only, check website for musical lineup and purchase tickets. Admission is $5 per person, children under 3 free.

12/5, Festival - Village Holiday Promenade at The Claremont Village Saturday from 5-8 p.m. Entertainment beginning at 5 p.m., tree lighting ceremony at the Train Depot at 6:30 p.m. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Frosty and a reindeer at City Hall from 5-8 p.m.

12/6, Tree Lighting – Holiday Tree Lighting and Boutique at the Old School House shopping center from 2-6 p.m. at the corner of Foothill and Indian Hill. Christmas sing-a-long, Santa Claus, arts and crafts.

12/13-14, 20-21,  Ballet - Inland Pacific Ballet performs ‘The Nutcracker” at Bridges Auditorium Satudays at 1 and 7 p.m., Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $42-59.

 

UPLAND HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/6, Santa - Breakfast with Santa from 8-10 a.m. at the Gibson Senior Center. $4 breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, juices and coffee. Photo opportunities with Santa, bring your own camera. Registration requested.


12/6, Parade - Annual Christmas Parade and Holiday Faire in downtown Upland from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Parade begins at 11 a.m., live entertainment and vendors downtown as well as local businesses open.

 

POMONA HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/6, Festival - Holiday at the Plaza from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Parade from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. around Pomona's Civic Center Plaza. Visit with Santa, games food and snow play.

12/13, Party  – Holiday beer release, music and menu from Pappa’s Artisanal from 4-10 p.m. at Dale Bros Brewery. $10 includes keepsake glass and first fill. Portion of proceeds benefit Helping Hands Pantry.

 

RANCHO CUCAMONGA HOLIDAY EVENTS

Now through 12/24, Santa – Holiday events at Bass Pro Shop. Free photos with Santa, crafts, arcade, shopping, toy trains and more. Check website for details and store hours.

12/6-7, Ballet  - Inland Pacific Ballet performs ‘The Nutcracker’ at the Lewis Family Playhouse Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $46 general, $55 preferred, senior $43, youth $24.

12/7, Santa Cares -This is a private photo session time from 8:30am until 10:30am with Santa for kids with special needs. Since most children with special needs have a difficult time with the hustle and bustle of the mall during the holiday shopping season, Santa Cares offers a calm and private environment, allowing these children and their families to enjoy the experience of meeting Santa!

12/13, Theater - ‘A Very Electric Christmas’ performed in darkness with light technology at the Lewis Family Playhouse at 2 and 7 p.m. tickets are $23, $21 senior and $16 youth.

12/14, Concert -  Rockapella performs at the Lewis Family Playhouse at 2 p.m. Tickets are $28-35 general admission, $28-33 senior.

12/18, Parade – Ho- Ho Parade with Rancho Cucamonga police and fire department units joined by Santa Claus through the city. Estimated schedule 5-9 p.m., see link for details on locations.

12/19, Concert -  The Blind Boys of Alabama perform at the Lewis Family Playhouse at 8 p.m. Tickets are $32-40 for general admission, $32-38 for senior.

12/21, Concert - David Benoit performs pieces from and inspired by “A Charlie Brown Christmas” accompanied by a children’s choir. Performance is at 2 p.m., tickets are $32-40 general, $32-38 senior.

 

FONTANA HOLIDAY EVENTS

December 5-31, weekends  Theater – Holiday Follies performances at Tibbies Center Stage Fontana Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Show only general admission $18, dinner and show is $39.95-59.95, children $29.95.

12/12, Winter Wonderland Dance - 6-9 p.m. at the Fontana Community Center 16710 Ceres Ave. Dress to impress. Seniors $3, Non-seniors $5.

12/18, Luncheon – Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at the Sycamore Inn beginning at 11 a.m. Toy drive. Members are $25, prospective members $35.

ONTARIO HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/6, Christmas on Euclid - From 9-3 p.m., head to Euclid ave. below G St. for car show, entertainment, family activities and craft vendors. Don't forget to download and print the activities map from the website.

12/13, Concert - X 103.9’s Merry Meltdown concert at Citizens Business Bank Arena beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.39-59.50, bring $10 cash for parking.

 

PERRIS & HEMET HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/5, Tree Lighting - Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Perris City Hall  from 6-8:30 p.m. Photo opportunity with Santa, bring your own camera or pay $3 to purchase photo. Food and beverage available for purchase, free desserts afterwards.

12/5, Parade – City of Hemet Christmas Parade from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Begins at corner of Palm & Florida.

12/6-21, weekends, Santa - Take a train trip to Santa’s workshop at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. Includes visit with Santa, child-powered roller coaster, crafts and more. Train times are 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., reservations recommended. Tickets are $5 for ages 2-4, ages 5-11 are $10, 12 and up $15. Members are $5-8.

12/14, Triathalon - The 29th annual Tinsel Triathalon and 5K at West Valley High School. Registration online available, day of registration begins at 7 a.m. Race begins at  9 a.m. Fees are $65-90 for individuals for triathalon, $30-35 for 5K. Team registration available.

 

BIG BEAR HOLIDAY EVENTS

12/6, 13, 20, Santa -  'Santa Claws' at the Big Bear Alpine Zoo from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Zoo admission required.

Every Saturday through 12/21, Christmas in the Village - 10-4 p.m. visit Santa Claus at the Christmas Tree Lot at the Corner of Pine Knot Blvd and Village Dr.

12/14, Concert - "Jingle and Jazz" holiday party at the Other Room from 3-6 p.m. $15 ticket includes wine and appetizers. Tickets available at No Name Pizza.

12/19-22, Theater - "A Christmas Carol...  Askew" at the Performing Arts Center Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 students and seniors.

 

DESERT AREAS CHRISTMAS EVENTS

12/3, Tree Lighting - Lighting of Christmas trees at the downtown Village Green beginning at  6 p.m. complimentary hot chocolate and sweets, carols sung by the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus.

12/6, Parade - 23rd annual Festival of Lights Parade beginning at 5:45 a.m. down Palm Canyon Dr. Floats, marching bands, Budweiser Horses and celerity grand marshal Lisa Vanderpump.

12/7,  Concert - “A Starry Christmas Concert” from 7-9 p.m. at the Palm Canyon Theatre, featuring 13 performers to benefit the Layne family star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. Tickets are $15.

12/7, Concert - Performance of Handel’s Messiah including audience participation at Palm Springs Adventist Church at  3 p.m.. Free admission.

 

TEMECULA & LAKE ELSINORE HOLIDAY EVENTS

Now through 12/28, Performance -  Music and lights show at the Civic Center accompanied by bells from City Hall at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights through the end of December.

12/4, Tree Lighting– 17th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Temecula Duck Pond beginning at 7 p.m. Performance by Resonate and a visit from Santa Claus.

12/4, 6-7, 10-14, Theater- Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” performed at Old Town Temecula Community Theater. Tickets are $10 for students, seniors, teachers and uniformed services otherwise $20-25 on Thursdays. $15-25 Fridays, $20-25 Saturday and Sunday, group rates available. Check website for performance schedule.

12/5,  Parade - Santa’s Electric Light Parade through Old Town beginning at 7 p.m. Part of Temecula’s 25th anniversary celebration.

12/6-7, Concert  – 15th annual “Christmas in the Air” concert by the Southwest Women’s Chorus at the Old Town Community Theater. Saturday performance at 7:30 p.m., Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 adults, $15 seniors and military with ID, $11 for students and kids 3-12. @ and under free, must have ticket to enter and sit on adult lap.

12/6, Festival  – Winterfest in historic downtown Lake Elsinore from 4-9 p.m. Parade, kid’s activities, snow play, musical entertainment, and visits with Santa. Food, drink and holiday boutique vendors at event.

12/11-1/4, Ice Skating  - Ice Skating in front of City Hall  Sunday –Thursday 10 a.m.- 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.-11:30 p.m., and Christmas Day 12 -9:30 p.m. Admission is $10, skate rental is $4, skating aid rental $6.

12/13,  Santa- Breakfast, carolers and a visit at Santa’s Workshop from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.at the Community Center. $7 a person, wait list and special needs reservations available.

12/18-23, Ballet - The Ballet Studio performs “The Nutcracker” at the Old Town Community Theater Thursday through Tuesday
