Inland Empire Arts | Independent Record Store Guide

Inland

Photos By: Megan Gonzalez

We love supporting small businesses located in the Inland Empire. That being said, we found some really cool, independent record stores that are still operating today. Some of these musical havens are strictly dedicated to selling vinyl records, old and new. Other record stores are cool places that you can buy music in various forms, as well as specialty gifts like book, movie memorabilia and unique toys.

Record stores have always been known as cool, local hangout spots. So visit one of the IE's independent record stores, and infuse your life with a little bit of musical culture from the past or present.

Katz Alley Records in Redlands

This cool spot is a great place to visit if you're into records, CDs or electronic equipment like turntables and receivers. Much like an old school record store, Kats Cavern is the performance venue of the record store that is utilized by local bands on the weekends.

This small but impressive record store has a unique feature, in that you can shop its inventory online. However the best way to see its entire selection of records, CDs and DVDs is by stopping by its brick and mortar shop in Upland.
