INLAND EMPIRE WEEKEND EVENTS

RIVERSIDE WEEKEND EVENTS

2/20-3/1, weekends, Theater - “Persued – A Jonah Story” performed at the Riverside Women’s Club Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3. Tickets are $17 at the door.

2/20-25, Art Sale - Opening Gala Friday night “Romancing Art” for Off the Wall from 6-9 p.m. at the Riverside Art Museum. Art priced $100-300.

2/20-22, Concert - “String Lover’s Paradise” concert performed by the Riverside County Philharmonic Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

2/20, Movies - Flashback Friday with movie classics from the 80’s at La Sierra Library from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

2/20, Grand Opening - Grand Opening of Toi Moi, Italian Ice & Juice Shop, on Hole Ave from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Buy one get one free deal Saturday.

2/20, Dancing - Mardi Gras Jamboree Dinner and Dance at Dales Senior Center from 6-9 p.m. $10 each person.

2/20, Concert - El Tri at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35-45.

2/21, Urban Fruit Trail - Go to Lincoln Park 12-3 p.m. to participate in the Riverside Art Make project. You can help plan fruit trees & make the community beautiful


2/21-22, Theater - “Annie Jr.” performed by the Inland Regional Youth Theater at Levi Theater at Sherman Indian School. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15. 

2/21 Health Fair - 4th annual LULAC Community Health Fair at Caesar Chavez Community Center from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Free services include dental treatments, screenings, vaccines, blood pressure testing and  haircuts. First come, first served basis.

2/21-22, Dickens Festival - Riverside Dickens Festival at downtown Riverside and various locations celebrating the famous author. Roving performers, plays, readings, teas and more. See website for list of events and ticket info if applicable.   

2/22, Theater - Red Carpet Evening Hollywood awards show at the Fox Performing Arts Center beginning at 4 p.m. $75 ticket includes seating, buffet and entertainment.

2/22, Sculpture Workshop - Making Ground: Living Sculpture will be held at Farmer's Market at Galleria at Tyler. 9-12 p.m.

 

REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

 2/21, Walking Tour - Walking tour of historical homes by the Redlands Area Historical Society beginning at 9 a.m. at Eureka St. and Palm Ave. $10 a person.

2/22, Geography - Geography Day at A.K. Smiley Public Library from 12-4 p.m. Includes games, crafts, and a chance to walk on a 26’x35’ map of Africa. Free admission, socks required for map.

 

SAN BERNARDINO WEEKEND EVENTS

2/21, Fishing - Junior fishing workshop at Glen Helen Regional Park beginning at 7:30 a.m. Class includes learning acsting, tying on hooks and cleaning fish. Fishing session afterward with tackle provided. $8 per attendee aged 7-15, parking is $10.

 

CORONA WEEKEND EVENTS

2/20, Concert -Tribal Theory at M15 Concert Bar and Grill beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door for the all-ages concert. 

2/21, 5K - Inaugural Shark Attack 5K fundraiser to support the Santiago Sharks cross country team at The Shops at Dos Logos. Beginning to advance courses available including 1- mile kid fun run. 5K begins at 8 a.m., kid race at 9.

 2/21, Concert - A Dose of Adolescence at M15 Concert Bar and Grill beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door for the all-ages show. Give our recent Amplif[ie]d featured band - Almost Anywhere - some love!

 

POMONA & CLAREMONT WEEKEND EVENTS

2/20, Comedy - LOL at Flappers Comedy with Darren Carter from the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Festival

2/20, Concert - August Burns Red at The Glass House at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 for the all-ages concert.     

2/20-21, Auction – Public auction of vehicles and more at the Fairplex’s White Ave. lot Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission and parking is free.


2/20-22, Home Show - The Big Spring Home and Garden Show at The Fairplex Friday 12-7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Free admission, parking is $10 at Gate 17. 

2/21, Gardening - Water-wise gardening workshop at Westmont Park from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Compost bins available for purchase.

2/21, Gardening - Habitat gardening workshop at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Member price is $25, public is $32, registration required. 

2/21, Concert - Cursive at The Glass House beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the all-ages event.

2/21, Concert - Muqarnas featuring mandecello, reed instruments and setar at La Verne University’s Morgan Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. $5 general admission. 

2/21-22, Pet Expo – SoCal Pet Spectacular at the Fairplex Expo Hall 9 Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 12-4 p.m. Pet vendors, adoptions and more. Free admission, parking is $10 at Gate 17. 

 

ONTARIO WEEKEND EVENTS

2/19-3/1, weekends, Comedy - Carlos Mencia at the Ontario Improv  this Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday at 7:45 and 9:30 p.m., Saturday at 7 and 9:15 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-47, two-item minimum, 21 and over only.

2/20-22, Karate - Compete World Class Martial Arts Championship at the Ontatio Convention Center beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. Tickets are $16 daily, $40 for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend pass is $52, ringside upgrade is $35. Parking fee applies.

 2/22, Workshop -  Writing workshop in conjunction with the Museum of History and Art’s  “Black Wings: American Dreams of Flight” Smithsonian traveling exhibit. Call for reservations, free admission to the museum.

 2/22, Hockey - Ontario Reign vs. Colorado Eagles at the Citizens Business Bank Arena beginning at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10-55, parking is $5 cash.

2/20, Book Signing - James Schnepf signing copies of “Palm Springs Modern Living” at the Palm Springs Art Museum from 2-4 p.m. Deign Store and book signing area are free  admittance.

2/21, Fundraiser - Architecture and Design Council fundraiser “Party Like It’s 1961!” at the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are $150, dress is 1961 fashion. 

 2/21-22, Greek Fest - Palm Desert Greek Fest at St. George Greek Orthodox Church of the Desert from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Music, food, entertainment, vendors and grocery

2/21, Street Painting - Sidewalk Chalk Street Painting Workshop from 10 a.m.-2 p.m at the Promenade Temecula’s plaza.

 2/21-22, Trains - Ride behind a steam engine at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. Members ride for free, tickets for ages 12 and up are $12, 5-11 $8 and 4 and under free. Museum open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 

 2/21, Party - Big Wood and Strong Ale Festival at Killarney’s Restaurant & Irish Pub. Kegs tapped at 3 p.m., $30 admission at the door includes souvenir glass and 7 tastes.

  2/22, Comedy – Craig Ferguson’s Hot & Grumpy Tour at Pechanga Resort & Casino beginning at  7 p.m. Tickets are $59-85.
