INLAND EMPIRE WEEKEND EVENTS

RIVERSIDE WEEKEND EVENTS

4/10-19, Theater - “Phantom” at California Baptist University’s Wallace Theater Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. General admission is $15, students, staff and seniors are $12.

4/10-12, Theater - “Ragtime the Musical” at Landis Performing Arts Center Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $29-50.

4/11-19, weekends, Theater - “The Nerd’ performed at the Riverside Women’s Club Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $14 at the door. 

4/11-12, Art - The Plein Air Artists of Riverside 10th anniversary Paint-Out Extravaganza begins with workshops at the Riverside Art Museum, vendors and art education. Events continue through May 7th, see site for details and registration.

4/11, Fundraiser - Walk to End Homelessness 2.5 mile walk at the Riverside Homeless Service Campus. Presentation at 7:45 am. With registration before. $35 registration, $20 for students and $5 for children under 18.

4/11, Fundraiser - Riverside Walk for Wishes Make-A-Wish fundraiser at Fairmount Park. See website for registration details.

 4/11, Kids Event – The Tot Olympics at Ryan Bonamino Park from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Athletic activities, information fair, bounce house and 11 a.m. athlete’s parade. See website for details.

4/11, History - R’ Stories presentation at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum from 1-4 p.m. Meet historians and learn about the project.

4/11, Concert - Christ Botti at the Riverside Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50-60 plus fees.

 4/11, Brewery Anniversary - Inland Empire Brewing Company celebrates 6 years with food trucks, live music and beer from 12-7 p.m.

 

REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

Now through 5/10, Theater - “Esther” at Lifehouse Theater Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:15 p.m. Tickets are $7-18.

Now through 4/12, Bicycle Race - Redlands Bicycle Classic throughout Redlands area. Criterium Race Saturday, road race on Sunday. Races for youth Saturday, registration begins at 7 a.m., races at 9 a.m. See website for spectator and registrations details.

Now through 4/12, Burgers - Redlands Burger Week continues. 50 burgers on list, share via social media for chance to win prizes. See website for details.

4/11, Fundraiser  - Redlands R.U.F.F. Ride fundraiser benefitting the Redlands Dog Park and other organizations. 5, 10, 31 and 62 mile loops. Registration begins at 6 a.m, ride at 8 a.m. See website for details.

4/11, Concert - The Sedans perform at Hangar 24 beginning at 8 p.m.

 

SAN BERNARDINO  & YUCAIPA WEEKEND EVENTS

4/11, Family Event - Healthy Family Day at Ruben S. Ayala Park from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Demonstrations, activities, rock climbing wall, contests and more.

 4/11, Concert - The San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra performs selections from Beethoven, Brahms and Bartholdy at the California Theater of the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20-55.

 4/11, Fishing - Junior fishing workshop at Yucaipa Regional Park from  7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Class includes knots, casting, cleaning and more, after class fishing session with provided tackle. $8 per child in advance, $10 parking at gate.

 

CHINO WEEKEND EVENTS

4/11-12, Reenactment - Civil War reenactment at Prado Regional Park with the Southern California Civil War Association and other organizations. Battle shows at 1 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. $10 adult admission, kids 2-12 $5, under 2 free. Weekend pass $15 and $7.50. Parking $10.

 

CORONA WEEKEND EVENTS

4/10, Sound of Music - Catch The Sound of Music on the big screen at Dos Lagos Stadium 15

4/10, Kids Event - Kids Night Out at the Auburndale Community Center at 6 p.m. Swimming arts, crafts and a movie. Residents are $15, non $25. 

4/10, Concert - Face 2 Face tribute performances of Elton John and Billy Joel at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $20 for the all-ages concert.

4/11, Festival – City of Corona Department of Water and Power Garden Festival at City Hall from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free activities for kids and tours of the Demonstration Garden. Demos on composting and drip irrigation.

 

CLAREMONT WEEKEND EVENTS

4/10-11, Comedy - Justin Foster at Flappers Comedy Club at 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.

4/11, Festival - 37th annual International Festival from 12-4 p.m. at Claremont McKenna College. International foods, entertainment and beer and wine tasting.

4/11, Festival - No-Chella Fest at Smith Campus Center at Claremont College from 4-10:30 p.m. Local foods and bands, non-alcoholic margaritas and more. Free admission.

4/12, Workshop - California native food plant workshop from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. Participants will review edible natives and sample prepared dishes. Public is $32, members $25, register online. 

 

POMONA WEEKEND EVENTS


4/10, Concert - The House Sound with Taylor Locke Band and Carlton at The Glass House beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13-15 for the all-ages event.

4/10-12, Spa Show - Spa, Pool   Barbecue Show at the Fairplex Expo Hall 7Friday 12-8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Free admission, parking is $10 at Gate 1.

4/11-12, Trains - Rail Giants Train Museum from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Park at Gate 17. Free admission

4/11, Community - Pomona Beautification Day event throughout Pomona. Kickoff at 7 a.m. at City Hall, lunch at Thomas Plaza. See website for projects and volunteering information.

4/11, Fundraiser – BT5K Los Angeles Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk at the Fairplex. Visit the website for info and registration, parking is $10 at Gate 17.

4/12, Trains - Garden railroad open every second Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

4/10-12, Festival - Festival of Speed at the Auto Club Speedway from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Free admission, $10 parking. Includes racing, cars for sale, meet and greets and more, see website for details.

4/10, Car Show – Fontana Car Show at the Civic Center Campus beginning at 5 pm. Free admission.

 

ONTARIO WEEKEND EVENTS

Now through 4/13, Circus – Circus Vargas performs at Ontario Mills. Tickets are $15-70, see website for showtimes. 

4/9-12, Marvel Universe Live - Marvel Universe Live! At Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tickets are $45-185, parking is $10 cash.

4/11, Dinner Theater - The Dinner Detective murder mystery dinner at the Ontario Convention Center.  Show starts at 6:15 p.m., includes dinner and beverages. Tickets are $65 plus fees.

4/11, Comedy - Mel Austin performs “Squeaky Clean Comedy” at the Ontario Improv  at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the 16 and over show.

4/10-12, Comedy – Paul Rodriguez at the Ontario Improv Friday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m., Saturday at 7 and 9:15 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for the 18 and over show.

4/12, Fundraiser – Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House Walk For Kids fundraiser at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Opening ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. See website for registration details.

 

RANCHO CUCAMONGA WEEKEND EVENTS

4/11, Handmade Market - INSPIREDinland Market is back in the parking lot in front of Klatch Coffee in Rancho Cucamonga. Unique handemade goods, live music and overall great vibe.

4/11, Earth Day - Cucamonga Valley Water District Earth Day celebration and open house event at the Frontier Project from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Workshops, paper shredding, clothing recycling and the host of PBS’s “Curiosity Quest” as emcee.

 4/11-12, Bull Riding - Professional Bull Riders events at Bass Pro Shops from 12-4 p.m. Steer head roping, stick bull riding, face painting and craft for the kids. Cowboy and cowgirl contest on Sunday.

 

SAN BERNARDINO WEEKEND EVENTS

4/11, IE66ers - Head to San Manuel Stadium for IE 66ers Disabilities Awareness Night. Game includes pre-game baseball clinic with 66ers players. Tonight will be centered around and catered towards the Inland Empire community of people with disabilities and the organizations that serve and care for them.

 

BIG BEAR WEEKEND EVENTS

4/11, Earth Day - Earth Day Festival and Volunteer Open House at the Big Bear Discovery Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free admission.

4/11, Concert - Beatles vs. Stones concert featuring tribute bands Abbey Road and Jumping Jack Flash at The Cave beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15-40.

 4/12, Fundraiser - Man About Town fundraiser event featuring Rob Robbins at Farsight Studios. Tickets are $20 and include appetizers, a drink and entertainment. Part of Man About Town competition.

 

PALM SPRINGS WEEKEND EVENTS

 4/10, Film - Screening of “3 Women” at the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert at 5:30 p.m. Free admission. 4/11, Concert   http://www.psmuseum.org/palm-springs/performance/sam-harris-best-sam-harris/ - Sam Harris in concert at the Palm Springs Art museum Annenberg Theater beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $60-75.

4/11, Fundraiser - 99 Bucks Fundraiser to benefit education programs at the Palm Springs Art Museum from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Purchase artist and celebrity-made art pieces.

 4/12, Concert - 17th Annual Opera in the Park from 12-4 p.m. at Sunrise Park. Free admission, food and drink vendors available or bring picnic.

 

DESERT AREAS WEEKEND EVENTS

4/11-12, 17-18, Festival - Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Club.

4/11-12, Steampunk - Wild West and Steampunk Fest at Calico Ghost Town. Steampunk panels, live entertainment and children’s activities. $15 per person, youth $10, 5 and under free.

4/11, Fishing - Trout Derby at Mojave Narrows Regional Park from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. $20 entry fee per person, $10 per vehicle parking fee. Gates open at 6 a.m.

4/11, Fishing - Kids fishing Clinic at Hesperia Lake from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. for ages 3-12. Cost is $5 each, limit 2 fish per ticket. Bamboo poles available to use, are encouraged to bring own pole.

 

TEMECULA WEEKEND EVENTS

4/10, Concert  - The Honey Whisky Trio at Temecula Community Recreation Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

4/10-11, Fundraiser - Reality Rally Fundraiser benefitting Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center at the Old Town Temecula City Hall. Reality stars available for meet and greets, celebrity chef showcase and an “Amazing Race” style game. See website for details.

4/11, Concert - Pat Benetar and Neil Giraldo perform at Pechanga Resort & Casino at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $50.
