RIVERSIDE WEEKEND EVENTS

5/15, Concert - Fundraiser for Nepal earthquake relief featuring Music By RaDIUM and Love Kill Circus at Romano’s Concert Lounge a7 9 p.m.  $5 suggested donation for the 21 and over event.

5/16, Walk with the Mayor - Join Mayor Bailey and Councilmember Gardner at 9:30 a.m. at 3900 Main St. for a stroll around Downtown ending at Neighbor Fest

5/16, Neighbor Fest - Neighbor Fest is an opportunity to discover and to celebrate what you love about where you live. Activities and fun planned in Downtown Riverside on Main St between University Ave. & 9th St. Open to the public. 5/16, Salsa Festival - Inland Empire Salsa Festival at White Park from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Live entertainment, beer and wine garden, food and salsa tasting. Admission is $10, kids 12 and under free.

5/16, Discussion - “Design by Nature” event at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum beginning at 1 p.m. Students and staff from UC Riverside discuss the next generation of engineering design influenced by nature.

5/16, Ballet - “Beauty and the Beast” performed by the Inland Pacific Ballet at the Fox performing Arts Center at 2 and 7:30 P.M. Tickets are $36-44.

5/16, Festival - Lunafest film festival at The Box in the Fox Entertainment Plaza beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, fundraiser benefits the Zonta Club of Riverside and the Breast Cancer Fund.
  
5/16, Karate – Karate demonstrations by USKO Riverside from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Bouncers, food and more, free admission.

5/16, Home Tour - Vintage Home Tour and Restoration Faire from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Peter J. Weber House, Old Riverside Foundation headquarters. $20 admission includes tour and admission to restoration fair, which includes vendor booths and services.

5/16, Art - ArtMake in downtown Riverside’s Pedestrian Mall from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.  Participants will create a collage and add to a piñata created by Sarah Bay Gachot. Pinata will be displayed and smashed at an upcoming culmination event.

5/16, Family Event – Neighborfest in downtown Riverside from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. 

 5/16, Dance – Hula dancing by UCR’s Oceana Dance from 1:30-3 p.m. on the steps of the Riverside Metropolitan Museum. 

5/16, Culture - Pacific Islander Student Alliance Culture Show at HUB 301 at UC Riverside.

5/16, Fundraiser - 17th Annual Primavera in the Garden at UC Riverside’s Botanic Gardens from 2-5 p.m. Food and wine tasting, silent auction and more. $65 presale, $75 at the gate.

 

REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

5/14-31, Theater - Neil Simon’s “Rumors” at Footlighters Thursday,  Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15, students $10 with admission.

5/16, Air Show - Hangar 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport from 12-10 p.m. Airshow, kids zone, vendors, food and drink, live entertainment. Tickets are $15 general admission, kids 6-12 are $5, VIP is $175.

5/16, Gardens - Fairy Garden Festival at Kendall Place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Demonstrations, garden tours, ladybug release, vendors and more. $5 admission, under 12 free.  

5/17, Theater Celebration -  LifeHouse Theater’s 22nd Season Celebration at Trinity Church at 7 p.m. Season presentations, giveaways, refreshments and more. 

 

SAN BERNARDINO & YUCAIPA WEEKEND EVENTS

5/15-17, Theater - “Calendar Girls” at the California Theater Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $38.50-77.

5/15-16, Festival - Blaze N’ Glory festival at the San Manuel Amphitheater. Passes are $55-169, camping available, see website for schedule.

5/15, Festival - CSUSB Arts & Music Festival at various locations on campus from 4-9 p.m. Food, art and performances, free admission.

5/16-17, Adoptions - 4th annual Homeward Bound Megan Pet Adoption Event at the Ricks McCowan Complex from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., hosted by Yucaipa Animal Placement Society. Vendors, hundreds of adoptable pets, free veterinary assessments, microchipping and more. 

 

CORONA WEEKEND EVENTS

Now through 5/21, weekends, Reniassance Fair - Koroneberg Renaissance Festival at Crossroads Riverview Park from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Jousting, games, food and revelry. Tickets are $18 adults, $15 seniors and children 5-11, $12 military.  Open Memorial Day.  

5/16-17, Concert - Circle City Chorale at the Corona Christian Center Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. Tickets are $12 general admission, $8 children

5/16, Concert - $winging Utter$ with Left Alone, 3 Chords, Trash Bag Villains and Universal Trap at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 for the all-ages event.

5/17, Fitness - The Lauren Powers USA Classic Fitness Competition and Expo at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 3 p.m., free admission to the all-ages event. 

 

CHINO WEEKEND EVENTS

5/17,  History - Chino Valley Historical Society’s 90th Annual Pioneer Picnic from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Bring side dish, own utensils and historical photos of Chino.

5/15-10/30, Fridays, Festival - Friday Nights Live in Claremont Village from 6-9 p.m. Live music, open to the public.

5/15-16, Comedy - Thai Rivera at Flapper’s Comedy Club Friday at 8 and 10 p.m. and Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.

5/16, Concert – The J-Birds in concert at Dale Bros. Brewery from 5-9 p.m. Cornrageous selling food from 1-11 p.m.

5/16, Awareness Event - Stroke Awareness Day at Pomona Valley Heath Center from 9 a.m.- 12.p.m.  Free to the public.

 5/16, Car Show - 3rd Annual Marine’s Classic Car Show from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cooper Museum. Booths, entertainment, classic and military vehicles. Admission is free.

5/16, Art Workshop - Free family art workshop at the Millard Sheets Art Center from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Free to the public, please register online.

5/16, Concert - Facedown Fest at The Glass House beginning at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20.

5/16, Art - Palates and Palettes at the Millard Sheets Art Center from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Painting, wine and food.  Admission is $75 each or $130 for two, must be 21.

5/17, Concert - Ex Hex at Aceragami beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the all-ages event.

5/15-17, Comedy - Christopher Titus at the Ontario Improv Friday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m., Saturday at 7 and 9:15 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for the 18 and over event  

5/16, Cycling - Amgen Tour of California: Stage 7 starting line at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Festival gates open at 10 a.m., race start time 11:30 a.m., festival ends at 12:15 p.m.

5/16, Dance - Rainbow National Dance Competition at the Ontario Convention Center. See website for more information.

5/16, Dinner Theater - The Dinner Detective murder mystery dinner at the Ontario Convention Center.  Show starts at 6:15 p.m., includes dinner and beverages. Tickets are $65 plus fees.  

5/16, Comedy - “Parents Night Out” at the Lewis Family Playhouse at 8 p.m. Clean comedy for grownups, $25 general admission, $23 seniors.

5/17, Car Show - Bug-In 40 at the Auto Club Speedway. ¼ mile racing, swap meet and more. Gates open at 6 a.m., Spectators $25, swap spot $40, racers $60m 12 and under free.

5/17, Concert – “Legendary Women of Country Music” tribute concert at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.

5/16-17, Reenactment - Civil War reenactment at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. Visit a civilian camp, participate in a coming home celebration and witness battles Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and Sunday at 12 and 3 p.m. Gated event, Admission is $5-7 for entry only or $8-12 for admission and ride pass.  

5/16, Water Sports – Paddlecraft Adventure Cruise at La Laguna Resort & Boat Launch from 10 a.m.-1 .pm. Free kayaking and paddle boarding on Lake Elsinore, courtesy boat inspections.

5/16, Race – Lucas Oil Off-Road Regional Races at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Spectators are $20, kids 5 and under free.

5/16, Food Truck Festival - Mt. San Jacito College hosts a food truck festival 4-7 p.m. Admission is $5. Proceeds benefit Menifee United Way

5/15, Concert – Boz Scaggs at Pechanga Casino & Resort at 8 p.m. Tickets are $55-85.  

5/16-17, Ballet - “Alice in Wonderland” with the Academy of Ballet Arts at the Temecula Valley High Golden Bears Theater Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $18-25. Autism-friendly performance Sunday at 5 p.m., tickets are $18.

5/16, Concert – Park Sang Min & His Live Band at Pechanga Resort & Casino at 4 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $60-120.
