9/11, Fundraiser – “Reds, Whites and Blues” Blue Cross fundraiser featuring restaurants, wineries and breweries from 6-9p.m. at White Park. Admission is $50.

9/11, Breakfast – “Breakfast with our Heroes” at 6:30a.m.at Riverside City Hall, Grier Pavilion. Tickets are $50.

9/11, Concert – Hair Banger’s Ball at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium at 7p.m. Tickets are $12.

9/11, Service – Riverside 9/11 Day of Service Ceremony at City Hall, Franklin Stage from 9-10a.m.

9/11-12, Fundraiser – Operation SafeHouse Thrift Store Sale from 10a.m.-6p.m.  Clothes are $2, other items are half off.

9/12, Memorial – Moms of Military 11th annual Remember Our Heroes event at California Avenue Christian Fellowship at 1p.m. Banner unveiling, kids activities, live music and more. Free admission.  

9/12, Workshops – Latino Health Awareness Month workshops and activities at Cesar Chavez Community Center from 9:30a.m.-1p.m. Includes MyPlate education, kids workshops and more.

9/12, Kids Event – STEM program at the eastside Library from 10a.m.-12p.m. for ages 6-18 focusing on making electricity from a lemon. Free to the public.

9/12, Workshop – “Healthy Eating for Busy People” at Necessary Nutrition Academy from 10-11a.m. Price is $17 for members.

9/12, Workshop – “Your Lawn: Keep It or Get Rid of It” workshop at the Western Municipal Water District from 11a.m.-12p.m. Learn about drought-friendly yard options, free to the public.

9/12, Safety Fair – Mayor’s Day Out Safety Fair at The Grove Community Church from 2:30-4:30p.m. Bicycle playground, safety instructions, raffles, food trucks and more.

9/13, Comedy – Lewis Black at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 7p.m. Tickets are $45-55.

 

REDLANDS WEEKEND EVENTS

9/10-13, Book Sale – A.K. Smiley Library used book sale from 10:30a.m.-4p.m. Prices are Thursday $4 per book, Friday $3, Saturday $2 and Sunday $1.

9/12, Car Show – A Day in the Park Car Show and Family Fun Extravaganza fundraiser for YouthHope at Sylvan Park from 8a.m.- 3p.m. $5 BBQ meal, kid zone, competitions, raffles and live entertainment. Free spectator admission, car show registration $30 at gate.

9/12, Fundraiser – “Soiree at the Gables” fundraiser for the Redlands Opera Theatre at Mission Gables Bowl House from 4-7p.m. Tickets are $45 per person or $80 per couple. Appetizers, silent auction and live performances.

 

SAN BERNARDINO WEEKEND EVENTS

9/12, Motocross – RED weekly motorcross practice races at Glen Helen Raceway beginning at 10a.m. $25 per bike through the gate, spectators free.

9/12, Concert – Project X concert at the National Orange Show. Doors open at 9p.m. Tickets are $10-75 for the 18 and over event, must provide valid ID.

CORONA WEEKEND EVENTS

9/11, Concert – Y&T at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $20 for the all-ages show.

9/12, Breakfast – Corona Lion Club pancake breakfast from 7-11a.m. at the Corona Public Library.

9/12, Festival – 10th Annual Inspire Homecoming Festival beginning at 5:30p.m. at City Hall South Lawn. Tickets are $75 each, table of eight is $600.

9/12, Project – 9/11 Interfaith Peace Project at Corona Heritage Park and Museum. See website to sign up for volunteer shifts, includes yard work and ironing pillowcases.

9/12, Concert – Lakeside with Howard Johnson and BB Wolf at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7p.m., tickets are $20 for the all-ages show.

 

SAN DIMAS WEEKEND EVENTS

9/12-13, Festival – California Beer Festival at Frank G. Bonelli Park. Over 80 beers to sample, food vendors on site. Saturday Craft Beer Heaven event from 12:30-5p.m, Hamburgers and Hops Music Festival on Sunday from 11a.m.-5:30p.m. Admission is $10-75, see website for details and to purchase tickets.

 

POMONA WEEKEND EVENTS

Now through 9-27, Fair –  The LA County Fair at the Fairplex Friday from 12p.m.-12a.m., Saturday 10a.m.-12a.m. and Sunday 10a.m.-10p.m. Weekend admission is $20 adults, $12 kids ages 6-12, 5 and under free. Season pass is $29.99.

9/11, Concert – Kool & The Gang, The Ohio Players and Rose Royce at the LA County Fair at 7:30p.m. Included with fair admission.

9/12, Concert – ZZ Top and Blackberry Smoke at the LA County Fair at 7:30p.m. Included with fair admission.

9/12, Racing – Drive or ride-along in an exotic car at the Auto Club Speedway. Ride-alongs are $199 and drives start at $249. Pre-registration required.

9/12-13, Racing – SoCal Drag Racing and SoCal Super Street at the Auto Club Dragway. Races start at 8a.m. Saturday and 8:30a.m. Sunday. Spectators are $15 a day, see site for racer registration details.

9/12, Motorcycle Run – 20th Annual Run for the Grizzlies motorcycle poker run at Bartletts Events Area in the Village from 9:30a.m.-4p.m. $30 for riders, $25 for passengers.

9/12, Planes – Big Bear Airport Young Eagles Program concludes with sessions from 9a.m.-11a.m. Kids ages 8-17 can ride in a plane for free from Big Bear Airport.
