Summer’s just about over, but there is no shortage of events where you can quench your thirst and sample great craft beers and fine wines. Here’s your guide to some of this month’s special events in the Inland Empire. Be sure to check back regularly, because we'll update this list as new events come to our attention.

9/1, Thirsty Thursday, The Diamond, 500 Diamond Dr., Lake Elsinore. Lake Elsinore Storm vs. Modesto Nuts. Game time 7 p.m. Enjoy $2 16 oz. beers, $4 craft beer specials and $2 sodas. Ticket prices vary.

9/2, Craft Beer Tasting and Bottle Share, Liquorama, 901 W. Foothill Blvd., Upland, 5 p.m. Charge

9/2, Tap Takeover and Steal the Glass featuring a craft brewery to be announced, Pacific Wine Merchants, 210 A Street, Upland, 6-8 p.m., $20.

9/2-25, Wine, Beer and Spirits Classes and Tastings, Los Angeles County Fair, Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona, Learn how to pair wine and food or throw a terrific party. Take a class with industry experts. Sample award-winning wines, craft beers and spirits. Check Fair schedule for times prices of specific events.

9/3, Conquest: Bottle Release and Party, Sanctum Brewing Co., 560 E. Commercial St., Unit 21, Pomona, 2-10 p.m.

9/3, Fall Beer Release, Hamilton Brewery, 9757 7th St. #8020 Rancho Cucamonga,   releases fall seasonal beers, along with a surprise bottle release. Beers include Pumpkin Jitters and Fightin Words.

9/3, Beer and Bacon Night, The Diamond, 500 Diamond Dr., Lake Elsinore. Lake Elsinore Storm vs. High Desert Mavericks. Game time 6 p.m. Beer and bacon, all wrapped up in one night! Crack a cold one and get your sizzle on at the Storm’s last Saturday home game of the season. Ticket prices vary.

9/3, For What Ales Ya 2016, Maniac Mike’s Café, Cable Airport, 1749 W. 13th St., Upland, 6 p.m.-midnight, An evening with craft beer, food, live music and good times. Great local brewers will provide beers on tap, accompanied by an unbelievable bottle share, a custom logo event taster glass, food by Habit Burger and high energy live rock. There will also be a drawing for special rare bottles. Previous raffles included greats like Lost Abbey Cable Car, Cantillon, Bruery Chocolate Rain, Bruery Bois and Anniversary sets, Rare Barrel, Remy’s Pappy, Three Floyds Dark Lord, an Odell Woodcut vertical and Bourbon County Stout vertical. Event proceeds go to the Cable Airport Foundation, for aviation student scholarships. $35 in advance only.

9/4, Battle of the Brews, Top of the Notch, Mt. Baldy Road, Mt. Baldy, 2-5 p.m. The original 16 competing breweries are now down to eight in this head-to-head in a tournament-style competition taking place throughout the summer. Tickets include three tastings from each brewery, judging scorecard, a pint of your favorite brew and a round-trip lift ticket. This second round event matches Sanctum Brewing vs. No Clue Brew. $27.99.

9/4, Mimosas and Muffins, vomFASS, 101 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Start the day with mimosas made with vomFASS liqueurs and bubbly paired with muffins made with vomFASS oils and vinegars. Free.

9/6, Steal the Glass Night, Eureka Burger, 345 Pearl Ave., Redlands. Every Tuesday, 6 p.m. Featured beer to be announced.

9/7, Steal the Glass Night, Eureka Burger, 580 W. 1st St., Claremont. Every Wednesday, 6 p.m. Featured beer to be announced.

9/9, Friday Night Wine Tasting, Pacific Wine Merchants, 210 A Street, Upland, 6-8 p.m. Taste a selection of fine wines. Live entertainment.

9/9-11, Celebrate California Wine Month, Total Wine & More, Foothill Crossing, 8201 Day Creek Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga, 1-7 p.m., Celebrate California Wine Month with some favorite California selections. Nominal fee.

9/10, 15th Annual Wine Walk, Claremont Village, 4-8 p.m., Enjoy food, wine and live music at more than 40 stops throughout Claremont’s downtown village. Ticket includes 10 wine tastings and commemorative glass.

9/10, Old Stump One-Year Anniversary, Old Stump Brewing Co., 2896 Metropolitan Pl., Pomona, Celebrate Old Stump Brewing’s first anniversary.

9/10-11, California Beer Festival, Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, Puddingstone Drive, San Dimas, Saturday, 12:30-5 p.m., Sunday 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The California Beer Festival returns to Frank G. Bonelli Park in San Dimas with two days of fun, sun and suds. Enjoy the lakeside view surrounded by live entertainment, food and craft beer from more than 85 breweries. Admission includes souvenir glass. Beer sampling only on Saturday, but beer and food will be available to purchase on Sunday. Proceeds benefit the Gen Giammanco Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial support to student athletes to assist in their pursuit of both scholastic and athletic success in San Dimas. Two-day pass $70, Saturday only $40, Saturday designated driver $25, Sunday only $10.

9/15, Scotch Whisky Class and Tasting, vomFASS, 101 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, 7-9 p.m., Sample and learn about rare and small batch Scotches, as well as the history and distillation process of Scotch. $45, reservations required.

 9/17-25, Inland Empire Beer Week, presented by Inland Southern California Brewers Guild, Various Inland Empire locations to be announced.

 9/17, Inaugural Summer Send Off Beer Festival, Riverside Municipal Airport, 6741 Gemende Dr., Riverside, noon-4 p.m. The Inland Empire Brewers Guild will present its inaugural Summer Send Off Beer Festival with at least 20 Inland Empire breweries and just as many from throughout Southern California. The event will include food trucks, live music and more. The festival kicks off IE Beer Week, a week-long event celebrating local craft beer and breweries. General admission $35, VIP $45.

9/17, Founders Brewing Brewery Spotlight Event, Total Wine & More, Foothill Crossing, 8201 Day Creek Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga, 3-5 p.m., Learn about Founders Brewing history, the barrel-aging process and sample the beers, $10.

9/17, Dawns Highway and Outlaw BBQ, Sons of Liberty Aleworks, 1780 Town & Country Dr., #101, Norco, 2 p.m., Sons of Liberty Aleworks presents Doors tribute band Dawns Highway.

9/18, Battle of the Brews, Top of the Notch, Mt. Baldy Road, Mt. Baldy, 2-5 p.m. Sixteen local breweries have been whittled down to four to earn the title of the best local brewery. This final four semi-final battle event matches Rök House Brewing vs. La Verne Brewery. Tickets include three tastings from each brewery, judging scorecard, a pint of your favorite brew and a round-trip lift ticket. This. $27.99

9/22 Wine Tasting, The Sycamore Inn, 8318 Foothill Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga, 6 p.m., Wine tasting on the third Thursday of every month. Includes appetizer buffet. $15.

9/22, Wine and Easy Appetizer Class, vomFASS, 101 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, 7-9 p.m., Learn how to make easy, tasty appetizers for your next party or gathering, while enjoying product demos and tastings and two glasses of wine. $25, reservations required.

9/23, Upland Police Department Fallen Officer Memorial Food and Wine Festival Fundraiser, Cable Airport, 1749 W 13th St, Upland, 6-9 p.m., Fundraising event to support monument at Upland Police Dept. in memory of Officer Ernest R. Dark, $50.

9/24, Oktober Fiesta, Last Name Brewing, 2120 Porterfield Way, Upland, noon-10 p.m, Oktober Fiesta is an event and namesake beer inspired by the historic Southwestern methods of brewing traditional German Oktoberfest style beers. Admission includes a keepsake “das boot” and first pour of beer, along with access to food, ice cream, music and more. $12. Tickets available online.

9/24, Grand Opening - Euryale Brewing Company is having a grand opening celebration and you're all invited. Beer, food & music 1-10 p.m.
