This weekend remember to support your local toy drive, enjoy a traditional holiday theater performance, take the kids out for some arts and crafts, and much more.

12/17, Concert - Messiah Sing-Along at the Big Bear Performing Arts Center at 2 and 5 p.m. Tickets are $10.

12/17, Crafts – Holiday paint party for adults at Craft to Treasure. Cost is $30 per person.

12/18, Baking – Kid’s canvas and cookies at Craft to Treasure starting at 11 a.m. $15 per child (ages 7 and older).

12/18, Sing-Along – 35th Annual Messiah Community Sing-Along in Bridges Hall of Music at Pomona College in Claremont. Two free performances at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Admission is free. Rent a score with all the lyrics for $5 or buy your own copy at $15.

12/16, Art - Art Mart every Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at the Claremont Packing House. Admission is free.

12/17, Holiday – Strolling carolers and the Inland Valley Repertory Theater performers every Saturday afternoon in the Claremont Village. Click on website for times and locations. 

12/17, Art – Pomona College Museum of Art presents “Rose B. Simpson: Ground,” from noon-5 p.m. All exhibitions and programs are free of charge.

12/17, Santa – Breakfast with Santa at Fire Station 97. Breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 a.m. Have your family photo taken with your local firefighters and Santa. Tickets $8 per person. 



12/17, Crafts – Montclair Place Kids Club “The Sawdust Factory” from 1-3 p.m. in the Food Court. Kids can create their own holiday ornaments. $5 per child, space is limited.

12/17, Christmas Toy Drive at The Citizens Business Bank Arena from 4-7 p.m. presented by the California Highway Patrol, AM 590 The Answer and Ontario Fury. Toy Drive will take place before the Ontario Fury Game.

Through 12/24, Festival - Wild Lights at The Living Desert from 6-9 p.m. with live entertainment, tunnel of lights, visits with Santa, arts and crafts, carousel rides and more. Admission is $10 adults, admission for kids 3 and older is $8.


12/16-18, weekends, Theater – “The Santaland Diaries” at The Desert Rose Playhouse in Rancho Mirage. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $32-$35.

12/16-18, Trains – Ride the train to Santa’s Workshop at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. Trains depart Friday at 5:30 and 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1, 3, 5:30 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $20, ages 2-11 admitted for $15.


12/17, Sing-Along – Rancho Cucamonga Theatre presents Disney’s Frozen sing-along at the Lewis Family Playhouse. Show times 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets $15. 



12/16-23, Theater - “It’s A Wonderful Life!” at LifeHouse Theater. Tickets are $18 for adults, $9 for kids in advance; day of $24 and $12. See website for show times. 

12/17, Party – Free Ugly Sweater Party at J. Riley Distillery. Show off your ugly sweaters while enjoying craft whiskeys and bourbon. There will be a photo booth to preserve the fashion memories. 

12/17, Pugafest - Hangar 24 Pugafest 2016 at Craft Brewery from 1:30-11:59 p.m. Hangar 24 will release Pugachev's Cobra 2016 and Pugachev Royale 2016, two of the highest rated high-gravity beers in the world. The event will also feature several past vintages of Pugachev’s Cobra, as well as several one-off Puga variants with special ingredients and/or aging treatments. Free admission. The brewery will be closed to the public before 1:30 p.m.

12/16, Holiday – Winter Wonderland at Orange Terrace Community Center from 3-9 p.m. Free activities, bounce houses, photos with Santa, craft, entertainment and much more. Fun Zone wristband includes 20 minutes of snow sled rides, bounce houses and fun zone games, $10 pre-sale, $12 day of event.

12/16, Story Time – Free family story time at Arlanza Library from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Through 1/7, Festival – The 24th Annual Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn and downtown Riverside with light display, carriage rides, carousel and more, weekday evenings and weekends beginning at noon.

12/18, Music – Dixieland at The Merc is a monthly show dedicated to bringing the best of local and regional Dixieland talent to Old Town Temecula. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets $12-$15.
