BIG BEAR WEEKEND EVENTS

10/1-30, Zoo – Flashlight Safari at the Big Bear Alpine Zoo. Tour starts at 7 p.m., admission is $9-$12, 3 and younger admitted free. Dress warmly.

10/1, Run - Big Bear North Shore Half Marathon, 10K and 5K starting at 9 a.m. Visit site for more details.

10/1, Concert - Straight up McGraw at The Cave at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20-$35.

10/1, Home Tour –  Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley’s 37th annual Hearth & Home Tour from 9 a.m. -3 p.m. Admission is $25, see website for ticket locations.

CLAREMONT WEEKEND EVENTS

Through 10/8, Theater - “La Cage Aux Folles” at the Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater with evening performances $64-73, matinees $58-$65. Children are admitted for $30-$35. Visit website for reservations and menu.

9/30-10/1, Comedy – Grant Cotter at Flappers Comedy Club Friday at 8 and 10 p.m. and Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.

9/30, Film Festival - 909 Film Festival comes to Pitzer College. Enjoy screenings of this year's entries and vote for your favorite one. Free and open to the public. Doors open 6:30 p.m., starts 7 p.m. at Benson Auditorium 1050 N. Mills Ave.

10/1, Art Walk - Walk through Claremont Village and Packing house-side and explore galleries and various participating shops. 6-9 p.m. Every first Friday. 

10/1, Concert - Music for Piano & Harpsichord from 1720-1968 at Pomona College’s Bridges Hall of Music at 8 p.m. Free admission.

 

CORONA WEEKEND EVENTS

10/1, Public Safety - City of Corona Public Safety day “Behind the Badges” at the Crossings of Corona Shopping Center from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.  with demos, vendors, finger printing, resources and more. Free admission.

 

DESERT HOT SPRINGS WEEKEND EVENTS

10/1, Festival -  Desert Hot Springs Fall Festival at the Mission Lakes Market Place from 2-10 p.m. with vendors, beer and wine garden, kids activities, fireworks and more.

 

HIGH DESERT WEEKEND EVENTS

10/1-2, Festival – 50th annual Calico Days at Calico Ghost Town from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with historical reenactments, activities, food and more. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-16.

10/1, Festival – City of Victorville Fall Festival from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Civic Center with admission, parking, and kids zome rides and attractions free. See website for details.

 

FONTANA WEEKEND EVENTS

9/30, Golf Tournament - Dignity Group’s 7th annual Joan and James Jennings Memorial Golf Tournament at Sierra Lakes Golf Club beginning at 9 a.m.

10/1, Festival - 3rd annual Inlandia Indie Authors Fair at the Louis Rubidoux Library from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. with panels of speakers, food truck and more.

10/1, Chili Cook-off - 2nd annual Mentone Community Crock-Pot Chili Cook Off at Greenspot Farms from 4-7:30 p.m. with train and hay rides, petting zoo and more. $5 chili tasting, kids 10 and under free tastings.

 

OAK GLEN WEEKEND EVENTS

Through 10/21, Dinner Theater - “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" dinner theater at Hawk’s Head Tavern at Riley’s Farm Fridays and Saturdays. Seasonal activities and a three-act play. Tickets are $28-$50, kids 3-12 admitted for $33-$35.

10/1, Fundraiser - Clearwater Farm and Animal Rescue blanket drive, and bake, tack and yard sale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
