10/10, Farm - Head out for some farming fun with cute goats and other animals at Greenspot Farms in Mentone. Pick out a pumpkin for Halloween while you’re there.
10/11, Cooking Class - Claremont Chef’s Academy offers classes for kids ages 6-10 to get a hands-on education and learn recipes. Classes are offered daily. Single classes are $30 and are subject to availability; memberships are $99 a month plus a one-time registration fee of $59.
10/12, Apple Picking - Los Rios Rancho in Oak Glen offers “U-pick” daily at its farm from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Apple picking starts at $2 a pound; check with farm for pricing and availability. Picking is across the street from main building. Check out our apple-picking guide for more delicious fun!
10/12, Apple Farm - Make your way over to Show-Line Orchards in Oak Glen for a jug of cherry apple cider and the famous cider donuts to munch on your way down the hill. Don’t forget to grab a bottle of wine (Megan recommends the Farmer’s Daughter blend) for tonight.
10/13, Date Shake – Palm Springs is home to Oasis Date Gardens for some fresh local dates, a date shake for the kids and a spinach and date salad for you. Why not get a date shake for yourself, too? Open 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
10/14, Museum - Kids can play grocery store and more at Pennypickle’s Museum in Temecula from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in sessions; check the schedule to find your best time. Admission is $5, 3 and younger are admitted free.
