7 Things to Do in the Inland Empire 1/2-1/6/2017




With the holidays over many kids are headed back to school this week – but not all. The kids might be itching to see their friends – or you may be counting down the days.

Don’t worry, we have lots of educational activities covered this week with fun events for the whole family.




1/2, Art - Start the new year right with a trip to see history and more in action at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Admission is $12.50 adults, students $5, 12 and younger admitted free.



1/3, Group Work - Play and Learn for children through age 6 at the Murietta Public Library at 10 a.m. Older kids still around? Have them read a book or two for Silent Sustained Reading time.

1/3, Computer Lab - Free SCRATCH Coding Class at Arlanza Library in Riverside from 4-6 p.m. For school-age children.



1/4, Physical Education - The kids driving you nuts? Give them some focus and stretching at the Yoga kids class at The Yoga Room in Redlands from 5-6:30 p.m. For ages 4-11, pre-register online; fee applies.



1/5, History - Check out our list of historical places and pick out somewhere new to visit close to you to learn about your community’s past.



1/6, Art - Walk through with the kids and discuss some local art at the Art Mart at the Claremont Packing House from 5-9 p.m.

1/6, Science – Computer Science Academy through the Chino Community Center. $25 materials fee; register online.
