California Beer Festival Back in San Dimas
State’s Craft Breweries to be Showcased at California Beer Festival in San Dimas
Most of Southern California’s major craft beer events are done for 2016, but the state’s largest traveling beer festival will make a stop in San Dimas when it returns to Bonelli Park on Sept. 10-11.
The California Beer Festival Los Angeles will showcase more than 85 of the top craft beers and ciders from throughout the Golden State during the two-day event. Live musical entertainment, outdoor games and a wide array of food vendors spread among the beauty of Bonelli Park and Puddingstone Lake
“The lakeside setting provides a beautiful backdrop for this celebration of great beer and good vibes,” said Vincenzo Giammanco, founder of the California Beer Festival. “We’ve worked really hard to bring out some of best music and tribute bands from around the state, as well as some of the most beloved craft breweries in SoCal.”
Craft beer and cider samples are the focus of Saturday’s “craft beer heaven,” which will include Angel City Brewery, Fireman’s Brew Ace Cider and Wicks Brewing, among many others. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. and beer sampling is from 1-4:30 p.m.
The “Sunday fun day” event runs from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and will feature electrifying musical performances from bands such as Foreverland, a nationally renowned 14-piece tribute to Michael Jackson. Other scheduled performers include Highway Starr and Upstream. Families are invited to relax under the trees with their blankets and chairs and enjoy the sounds of the event’s musical acts. Mouth-watering eats and refreshing craft beers also will be available on Sunday.
Two-day VIP passes priced at $70 include entry to the Saturday beer festival one hour early at 11:30 a.m., access to the taco bar, a California Beer Festival tasting cup, souvenir pint glass, bottled water and samples of craft beer.
General admission tickets for Saturday only are $40 and include beer samples and a tasting cup. Designated driver tickets are available for $25 and include festival entry, water and a meal from any food vendor. Admission to the California Beer Festival on Saturday is restricted to adults ages 21 years and older with a valid ID.

Puddingstone Lake in Frank G. Bonelli Park is located at 120 Via Verde in San Dimas.
