Ghost Walk Riverside Celebrates 25 Years of Spooky Fun [dedicated]
October 5, 2016
Downtown Riverside gets an eerie feeling every year with the California Riverside Ballet's Ghost Walk.
This marks the 25th year of the Ghost Walk, which features storytellers, musicians and dancers in a collaborative adventure for all ages. The 2016 event will also feature performers from local high schools.
Ghost Walk is a unique experience that takes over Main Street in Downtown Riverside. It is a collaboration of writers, storytellers, actors, musicians and vocalists that utilize their talents to entertain you during a walking adventure through downtown Riverside.
The Ghost Walk will feature five guided adventure tours. “Things That Go Bump In The Night” and “Fear Tour” are both G-rated for family-friendly fun. The more adventurous tours include “Run for Your Lives,” “Nightmare on Main Street” and “Riverside’s Reckoning”. You can go on as many tours as you like, time and availability permitting.
The tours are Oct. 28 and 29 and start at the Main Street Mall run from 6-10 p.m. After the tours, guests are invited to stay and enjoy live entertainment, a kids Halloween carnival, vendors and more, including a Kiddie Halloween costume contest for ages 10 and under.
Tickets for the Ghost Walk are $12.50-$15. You can purchase them here. All proceeds from this event go to benefit California Riverside Ballet.
To commemorate the Ghost Walk's 25th year, the event will also feature a juried art show in October. The Night Gallery Black and White Ball will spotlight local and regional artists’ work at a reception at Mezcal Cantina y Cocina Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. Suggested donation is $40.
