DIY/Craft | Back-to-School “Tag” Your Teacher Craft
By: Rina Gonzales, Mothership Scrapbook Gal
It's already time for BACK TO SCHOOL! OMGeeeee, where did SUMMER go?
I have the best DIY for you as you head back to school. Start off the school year by letting your teacher know how much they are appreciated with this easy, do-it-yourself gift. Teachers will love to be "tagged" by your special kiddos!
Craft Supplies List:
- Tags (I used Avery Shipping Tags)
- Washi tape
- Craft knife or scissors
- School themed stamps
- Stamping ink pad
- Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue
- Cupcake liner
- Colored paper clip
- Gift card(s) to local coffee houses or anywhere fun!
Step 1: Take a few tags, because you can make several at once! This is a very quick and easy crafting project! Get a few washi tape rolls, and have fun as you tape them onto your tags. Trim the edges of the washi tape using a craft knife or scissors.
Step 2.: Now add a stamped image such as "Thank you" or "Best Teacher Ever.” Teachers love being thanked and told that they are doing a good job! I had an apple stamp too, so I stamped it using my red ink pad.
Step 3: You can also embellish with buttons, bling or colored paper clips! Use glue to adhere your embellishments.
Step 4: I added gift cards to the tags. You can adhere the gift cards using washi tape or a paperclip. I also got creative and glued a cupcake liner to serve as a holder for the gift card and secured the card inside with a piece of washi tape.
Teachers enjoy a gesture of thanks anytime during the school year—both my mom and dad are teachers! I hope you have fun making some tags for your teachers.
