Returning for the second year in a row is the LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show, and it’s bigger than ever. After last year’s success the LA Cookie Convention is moving to the LA Convention Center to accommodate more guests and vendors! The convention is to take place on February 6th and 7th. There are expected to be over 10,000 guests and hopefully one of them is you!
Guests will enjoy free samples from over 125 local shops and favorite national brands. There will also be the opportunity to watch baking demonstrations and even participate hands-on in workshops and decorate cakes. For the little ones there will be a Kids Zone! This will include fun activities such as free painting, cookie decorating, crafts and games.
Another exciting aspect of the LA Cookie Convention is the meet and greet with famous TV celebrities. This year the Saturday special guest is Ron Ben-Israel from Food Network's Sweet Genius and Cake Wars. He is a sought after cake decorator popular in the New York area. Sunday’s headliner is Rosanna Pansino a YouTube superstar who is a NY Best Seller and creator of the YouTube Channel Nerdy Nummies. Her channel has over five million subscribers and over one billion video views.
There will also be an exciting Dreamworks TV panel where guest can meet and greet with Master Chef JR stars. Dreamworks TV star Dara The Bow Girl will also be there as well as life style coach Cassie Diamond. Jimmy Warshawsky, Master Chef Junior star, will have a meet and greet by his co-star Troy Glass who was a Food Fighters contestant.
LA Cookie Con & Sweets Show will be held on Sat., Feb. 6, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the Sun., Feb. 7, 2016 from 10a.m. to 4p.m. It will be held at The LA Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA 90015. General Admission for one day is $21, and a weekend pass is $35. Children’s admission for one day is $10 and a weekend pass is $15.
