San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands welcomes a new, must-see exhibit in honor of Black History Month.

“Community Chronicles: Photographs by Henry Hooks” is a special photography exhibit displaying the art of Henry Hooks. This retired government employee decided to pursue photography and went on to become a staff photographer for San Bernardino Precinct Reporter. His captivating images are on display for a limited time in Redlands, and you will enjoy getting unique insight into our past's pictures of residents, visitors and events in the San Bernardino area during the mid-late 20th century.

While a lot of Hooks' images depict African American society and the cultural evolution of this area over time, Hooks’ work also shows the diversity of the San Bernardino area during a specific period in time. Don’t miss your chance to learn more about important cultural aspects of our society through the eyes of Henry Hooks.



“Community Chronicles” is on display through Feb., 28, 2016 at The San Bernardino County Museum, 2024 Orange Tree Ln., Redlands, CA. Museum hours are Tuesdays through Sundays from 9a.m. to 5p.m. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for military and seniors, $7 for students and children ages 5-12 are admitted for $5.
