Get your fitness on this Saturday, March 5th by hiking or walking up the picturesque Blue Mountain in Grand Terrace.
Every other day of the year, the gates are closed to the Blue Mountain in Grand Terrace. This beautiful hike with a jaw-dropping view on top is absolutely worth the effort it takes to make it to the top. Not to mention you'll get the chance to take gorgeous images that are rarely captured by IE resdients. Join tons of other locals and visitors to visit a place that is otherwise closed off to the public.
The hike begins at 9a.m. with a devotion at the very top at 9:30a.m. You must begin your walk by 10:45a.m., and hikers must start heading down by 12:30p.m. This event is presented by Friends of the Blue Mountain, Sierra Club and The Foundation of Grand Terrace.
Be sure to bring your furry friends, given they are both friendly and kept leashed up. Don’t miss your opportunity to stop by the Friends of the Blue Moutain booth, where you can find information on their hopes to create the Blue Mountain Wilderness Park.
9th Annual Walk on Blue Mountain starts at the corner of Palm Avenue and Honey Hill Drive in Grand Terrace.
