If you're planning on taking a walk through the galleries of Downtown Pomona for the city's monthly Art Walk, be sure to stop by to celebrate International Women's Day and see some inspiring art made by women artists.

In celebration of International Women’s Day and Women's History Month, "12th Annual International Women’s Exhibition" will be showing at the Latino Art Museum at the Art Colony in Pomona.
International Women’s Day is celebrated March 8th with a 2016 theme of “Pledge for Parity.” The exhibit at the Latino Art Museum this year is themed “Looking Inside Me.”
The Latino Art Museum is dedicated to promoting the work of contemporary Latino artists residing in the United States, including performance art and literature. The gallery also offers hands-on art classes for children and adults starting at $70 a month for members and $80 for non-members. Memberships to the gallery are $15 for students, $25 for individuals and $40 for a family membership.
The exhibit's opening reception will be Saturday, March 12th during the Downtown Pomona Art Walk from 4-9p.m. A ribbon cutting with the Pomona Chamber of Commerce is at 6p.m., and the awards ceremony is from 7-8p.m. It will coincide with the Downtown Pomona Art Walk, which is every second Saturday of the month from 6-9p.m.
