The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino will host a Happy Holiday Double Feature Night on Friday, Dec. 9, at San Manuel Stadium. Presented by the 66ers Foundation, the free event, which is open to the public, will start at 6 p.m.

The event will kick-off with the showing of Charlie Brown Christmas, followed by the showing of Elf at 7 p.m. Stadium concessions will be available to the public for purchase when gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Through the club’s foundation, the team is determined to raise funds to support children with the costs of playing Little League baseball and softball. Donations are not required, but are encouraged.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring this event back and provide a memorable experience for the community,” said 66ers General Manager Joe Hudson.

Commitment to community service has been part of the team throughout its history. With the support of the San Bernardino Housing Authority and the San Bernardino Police Department, the team continues to sponsor baseball leagues for underprivileged children in the community.

The 66ers are highly committed in serving the community, not only through the sponsoring of children’s baseball leagues, but also through a number of fundraising programs that benefit local foundations and charities throughout the Inland Empire.

Happy Holiday Double Feature Night will be an evening to bring the community together to learn about the 66ers Foundation and ways to get involved with the team’s community causes and help raise funds through selling stadium concessions and more.

In an effort to get more children involved in youth baseball and softball leagues across the city, the 66ers created the 66ers Foundation in 2012 to restore Little League baseball fields in San Bernardino and assist in funding those costs.
