Only one more week until the National Orange Show Citrus Fair opens for its 101st year! And this year will be bigger and better than ever, packed full of activities and entertainment for the whole family. Between rides, games, live entertainment and a huge selection of food vendors, there is enough to do to keep everyone in the family happy throughout the whole fair!
The full entertainment line-up is available on the NOS Fair website, but here are some of the live entertainment acts you can look forward to during the fair. Festivities commence on Wednesday, April 20th, with acts such as Koda Corvette and Street Drum Corps. The Street Drum Corps makes an appearance again on Thursday, in addition to Twinkle Time. Then starting on Friday, April 22nd, fair-goers can find a variety of entertainment all day long. Friday features acts such as Paradise City (a Guns 'N Roses tribute band), the SB Teen Music Workshop, Javi E. Tribal, Psycho Punx and Soto Band. The Saturday line-up includes a Battle of the Bands, Esperanza Folklorico, Tina Marie (a hypnotist), MCDC, Mariachi Generation, Tierra and Fan Halen (a Van Halen tribute band). On Sunday you can catch several of the acts who performed on previous days in case you missed them the first time around.
But there is so much more than just live music entertainment for you and your family to check out at the NOS Citrus Fair. Adults and kids alike will enjoy seeing the pig races and turkey races, or watching the Stilt Circus. Nature lovers will definitely not want to miss the Butterfly Adventures or Brad's World of Reptiles.
And while there is definitely tons to see and do that all ages will enjoy, there is also a lot of things specially for the young ones. Kids will love to visit the farm animals, have their faces painted, going on a pony ride or seeing a real fire truck.
Those attending on Friday will get to partake in special activities designed to celebrate Earth Day (which falls on Friday, April 22nd), including recycle-based crafts and composting workshops. There will even be a screening of the film Earth. There will also be photography contests and baking contests, as well as the big tradition of the NOS Fair: the citrus displays, a contest honoring the heritage of the Inland Empire.
Thrill-seekers will definitely get their fill of adrenaline rushes with the huge selection of rides at the NOS Fair like the Zipper, Zombie Carnival, Vertigo and Spinning Coaster. With over 25 rides to choose from and plenty of midway games, "bored" is not a word you will hear at the NOS Citrus Fair. The fair is only open for one weekend, so don't miss out on this event full of family fun celebrating the history and heritage of the Inland Empire!
