We hope everyone stuffed their faces, got a ton of presents and gave back to the community one way or another this past week. Luckily, the celebrations are going to continue on, as we celebrate a New Year that is right around the corner. 12/29, Crafting Project – Make It and Take It Craft at La Sierra Library in Riverside from 11a.m. to 7p.m. Cost is free. We love activities where we can bring the kids along to do something creative. La Sierra Library provides this artistic opportunity all day long to craft something unique.


12/30, Drive-in Movie Annie and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb Double Feature at Mission Tiki Drive-In Theatre in Montclair starting at 7:30p.m. Admission for Adults is $9, Children 5-9 are $1. These two great family-friendly movies will spark imagination (along with a lot of singing) for the little ones! Who knows, you might become inspired by remake of one of the most classical musicals of all time—Annie.


12/31, Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve Party – Family New Year’s Eve Event at Dave & Busters in Ontario from 5p.m. to 8p.m. If you want to celebrate the New Year with your famiy by eating great food, playing games and the classic watching of the ball drop, then this is the party for you. Check online to see their price packages, which include food, games, photos and more.

12/31, Family New Year's Eve Party – Wyatt's New Year's Eve Party at The Convention Center at Big Bear Lake from 5p.m. to 1a.m. Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family up to six. This is truly a one-of-a-kind event that caters to both kids and adults with live music, childrens' arts and crafts, a free champagne toast and more. They even have a shuttle to take you home, so have fun with your family while ringing in the New Year!


1/1, Zoo – Big Bear Alpine Zoo from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Prices are: Adults (Ages 11-up) are $12.00, Seniors (Age 60+) are $9.00, Children (Ages 3-10) are $9.00 and Children (Under 3) are Free. Big Bear Alpine Zoo is so much more than just a place for people to check out wild animals. It’s actually a rehabilition center that provides a safe environment for wild animals who wouldn’t be able to survive in their natural habitats. Be sure to come by early, because animal preservation happens every day at noon!


1/2, Museum Activities – Nature Lab on the Second Floor of Riverside Metropolitan Museum from 1:30p.m. to 4:30p.m. Free. Open to the public. Perfect for the young and inquisitive explorers in your life, Nature Lab gives visitors a hands-on experience with activities like feeding animals, handling microscopes and more.

1/2, Go-Cart Racing – Go-Cart Racing at San Bernardino Race Way from 11a.m. to 12a.m. Check online for prices and race packages. If a little bit of speed and friendly competition sounds like fun for your family, then SB Race Way has the go-cart racing good time you’re looking for. They even have Cosmic Carting on Friday nights . . . is there anything cooler than reaching speeds of over 40MPH on a cosmic track? We think not.
