Following a fantastic three-day weekend full of Memorial Day celebrations, we hope you’re ready to get back to the fun with our 7 Things to do This Week in the Inland Empire! From live music with your lunch or dinner to garden adventures and crafting, we’d say this week has plenty of fun for everyone.
5/26, Gardens – University of California, Riverside Botanic Gardens from 8a.m. to 5p.m. Admission is a $5 suggested donation. Parking is limited by the entrance for a small fee, and permits are to be purchased just inside the Gardens’ entrance. Various horticultural collections from the Rose Garden and Herb Garden to the Subtropical Fruit Orchard, the Cactus Garden and more will provide visitors with a unique outdoor experience in Riverside.
5/27, Live Music – Unplugged Wednesday at The Mitten Building in Redlands from 12p.m. to 1:30p.m. The dining room of The Mitten Building is filled with acoustic music, which is performed every Wednesday by local talent. There is no better compliment to a fantastic lunch than great sounds from budding artists.
5/27, Trampoline Park – Wacky Wednesday at Aerosports Trampoline Park in Corona from 1p.m. to 10p.m. Check online for prices per jumper. Jumpers who come dressed up as anything silly or wacky receive half off each open jump hour! If you’re dressed normal, you will not qualify for the discount. This trampoline park has it all with trampolines, foam pits, an arcade and more!
5/28, Arts & Crafts – Family Craft Time at Norco Library at 4p.m. Watch as little eyes light up and creativity comes out of everyone young and old with this family fun craft time at your local library in Norco. This family program is a great way to spend the afternoon bonding together while having a great time.
5/28, Laser Tag – Laser Tag at Laser Island in Upland from 3p.m. to 9p.m. Recommended for children ages six and older. Price is $8 per person for one laser tag adventure. Check online for additional pricing and deals. Racing around against up to 35 other competitors, this laser tag venue is a great place to go, and get some energy out. With other adventures like Tiki Golf, the CoCo Climb, an arcade, as well as a cafe, this place has everything you need for a successful family night out!
5/29, Baby Story Time – Brilliant Babies at the Colony Meeting Room at Colony High Branch Library in Ontario from 10a.m. to 10:45a.m. Ages 0 to walkers. Admission is free. Class size is limited, so pre-registration is required: (909) 395-2256. Babies and their caregivers want to have fun, too! This unique program is for the littlest babies who will benefit from story telling, songs and other lap sitting activities.
5/29, Dinner Theater – Evita at the Candelight Pavilion Dinner Theater in Claremont. Dinner seating at 6p.m., curtain at 8p.m. Prices range from $64-$73. Whether or not you know of the powerful and charismatic woman, Eva Perón, this musical performance will certainly have you entranced with the tragic story of her life. With famous songs like “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” you’re surely to have a wondrous musical journey.
