Our recent trip to Splash Kindgom Waterpark in Redlands was such a great way to cool down with the kiddos. That’s why this week’s suggestions for adventure are geared towards water—from the best waterparks, water slides, pools and splash pads to even water of the frozen variety. 7/13, Water Slide – Water Slide at Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain in Big Bear from 10a.m. to 6p.m. Price is $2 for a single ride, $10 for a 10-ride book or $15 for an unlimited day pass. Check online for season pass pricing. This bright blue double water slide will have you sliding down the mountain into a refreshing pool of water that is three and a half feet deep. Race down alongside your friends, and relax afterward poolside.


7/14, Swim – Family Swim Night at Jerry Lewis Family Swim Center in San Bernardino from 7p.m. to 8p.m. Price is $1 per person, all ages. Grab your swimsuit, a towel and a floatie, and head over to this inexpensive swim night. Happening every Tuesday through August 4, this could be your new family summertime tradition.


7/15, Splash Pad – Splash Pad at Monte Vista Park in Chino from 10a.m. to 6p.m. Open to the public. The only requirement at this splash pad is to wear a swimsuit, and you’re set to enjoy this free outdoor activity. From misters and buckets dropping water out of the sky to it shooting up from geysers in the ground, this splash pad is a top-notch good time.


7/16, Water Park – Wet ‘n’ Wild in Palm Springs from 10a.m. to 7p.m. Daily admission is up to $36.99 per person. This water park is jam-packed with water rides and attractions. They have a lot of water slides for the more adventurous visitor, while family rides and raft rides may prove more mellow for everyone who joins in on this exciting adventure day.

7/16, Ice Skating – Ice Skating Public Session at Ontario Center Ice Arena from 2p.m. to 5p.m. General admission is $8. Skate rental is $2. This NHL-sized piece of ice is a great way to cool down while avoiding getting into a swimsuit. Stay out of the sun, and show off some ice skating moves.


7/17, Bumper Boats – Bumper Boats at Boomers in Upland. Park is open from 10a.m. to 12a.m. Check online for prices. Get in the competitive spirit to float around in bumper boats while blasting the ones you love (as well as strangers) using the water cannon. It’s all in good fun, so go full speed ahead, and get wild.

7/17, Movie – Movie Night at The Cove Waterpark in Riverside from 6p.m. to 9p.m. Daily admission to the park is up to $18 per person. After a long day of swimming and waterpark fun, your children are going to want to settle down to watch one of the greatest kid movies of all time, Frozen. Be prepared for hours of singing along and making new friends.
