7/20, Rock Climbing – Indoor Rock Climbing at Hangar 18 Climbing Gyms. There are two locations in Riverside and one location in Upland. Monday hours are from 10a.m. to 10p.m. Kids under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Check website for pricing and membership options. There are few sports cooler than rock climbing, and on top of being cool, indoor rock climbing is a thrilling and fun activity. Did we mention you’ll get buff?
7/21, Free Class – Stress Management Class at the Health Education Center of the Community Hospital of San Bernardino. English session is from 10a.m. to 11a.m. Spanish session is from 11a.m. to 12p.m. The class is free. Call (909) 806-1816 if you have any questions. Stress happens, and this helpful class will help you recognize what causes your stress, and it will also share helpful tips on what you can do to lower your anxiety and stress level overall.
7/22, Certified Farmers Market – Certified Farmers Market at Kaiser Ontario Vineyard Medical Offices in the Hospital Courtyard from 10a.m. to 2p.m. This farmers market that happens every Wednesday year-round will have more than enough fruits and veggies to keep you and your family eating healthy all week long. Remember, you are what you eat!
7/22, Health Workshop – Health Improvement Plan Workshop at the Moreno Valley Conference Center in Moreno Valley from 9a.m. to 12p.m. Event is free, and click here to register. Light refreshments will be provided. This workshop is designated to plan and coordinate the health and wellness plans and goals of Riverside County. The information you’ll gain on community insights, as well as networking opportunities with other locals in the field of health and wellness will all be part of planning for our community’s healthy future.
7/23, Free Yoga – Yoga on the Green at Chaffey Town Square at Victoria Garden’s in Rancho Cucamonga from 9a.m. to 10a.m. Open to the public. Not only is yoga good for your body in building strength and flexibility, but it is a great exercise for your mind. This relaxing, free yoga meet-up is the most perfect way to start your day in the name of wellness.
7/24, Baby & Me Fitness Class – Mommy & Me Fit Club with Bad Ash Training in Upland from 9:15a.m. to 10a.m. Price is $10, cash only. First session is free. Early arrival is suggested to allow for baby adjusting time. Check webstie for necessary items to bring along. This fitness club allows new moms to work off their baby weight by using their baby’s weight. It’s fun fitness, and you’ll get a chance to meet other moms in the area.
7/24, Fitness Trail – Take a hike on Thompson Creek Trail in Claremont. This pathed trail that sits at the foothills of Claremont’s mountains is a beautiful walk to take with strollers and pets in tow. Just be sure to visit during hours when the temperautre is low, bring lots of water, and keep an eye out for any wildlife. With a really neat park located in the middle of the scenic trail, you won't want to leave the kids behind for this fitness activity.
