SoCal Families | 7 Things To Do This Week 8/3-8/7/2015

Whether you consider yourself an athlete or prefer to be a spectator of sports, this week we have lots of opportunities to enjoy the various sports-related activities happening about the Inland Empire. From baseball games to youth soccer, motorcross and even an autograph signing, fans and athletes alike will enjoy this week’s sportsy things to do.

8/3, Baseball Game – IE 66ers versus Lake Elsinore at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardio at 7:30p.m. Check website for ticket prices. If you’re headed out to the ball game this week, then you’re sure to have a great time enjoying one of America’s favorite sports. Bring your glove, because you never know when you might catch a pop-fly!

8/4, Indoor Soccer – Little Kickers for Cottontails (ages 2.5 to 3.5) at Upland Sports Arena at 11:30a.m. Cost is $14 per class, and an annual membership of $35 per child is required. Register today, as this class has open enrollment. The Little Kickers program has drop-in soccer for children as young as 18 months to seven years old. Introduce your child to the sport of soccer, and they’ll even get a cool jersey to wear as part of their membership.

8/5, Trampolines – Jump at Hangar Trampoline Park in Riverside from 12p.m. to 8p.m. Check online for pricing options. We’re not sure that jumping on a trampoline is technically a sport, but considering how intense of an exercise it is, we think it should be reconsidered. Jump around at Hangar Trampoline Park, and you'll be impressed by their huge wall to wall trampoline spread.

8/6, Racing – Thursday MX (Motorcross) Practice at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino from 8a.m. to dusk. Cost is $25 per bike. The main track, REM and Endurocross track will all be open for your racing pleasure. Quads are allowed on the REM track. Don't miss it, as there’s nothing quite like reaching top speeds while you’re elevated just above the dirt.

8/6, Autograph Signing – Garrett Richards Autograph Signing at the Grand Ballroom at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula from 7p.m. to 9p.m. This event is open to the public. If you’re an Angels fan or there’s a child in your life who is your little slugger, then this free event is something you’ll both likely to enjoy. Bring your baseball cards, and get a signature that will last a lifetime.

8/7, Archery – Beginner Archery Lesson at Riverside Archery at 5p.m. Book your appointment in advance, as walk-ons are not permitted, and class sizes are limited to only 10 students. Ages seven and up. Price is $25. Classes includes lane time, Olympic Recurve Bow rental if needed and instruction for the hour. Test your aim while practicing one of the oldest sports of all time at an archery lesson.

8/7, Yoga – Parent & Me Yoga at Claremont Yoga at 11a.m. For parent and child who is between walking and four years old. Single, drop-in class is $18. Check online for specials and discounts. Reservations are not required, but classes do sell out so signing up online is encouraged. Be sure to arrive 10 minutes prior to class start time. This fun, movement class will help your toddler gain coordination through play, and it will be the most relaxing you can start a day with a toddler . . . guaranteed.
