The majority of your child's school day is spent sitting in a desk, so get their wiggles out with some fun after-school activities. From indoor playgrounds to museums and more, the little ones will be counting down the minutes until school is out for the day.
3/14, Reading – Read to a Dog at the High Desert Room at Corona Public Library at 3:30p.m. Nothing boosts confidence like reading aloud. What is even better is reading to a person’s best friend. Kids ages kindergarden through sixth are welcome to read during this hour of puppy fun.
3/15, Indoor Playground – Play at Kids Play World in Hemet from 10a.m. to 6p.m. Check the website for rules, pricing and more information. Games and play equipment at this fun center is geared toward children under eight years old. Whether your child prefers to hang out and read in their reading area or they prefer climbing on jungle gyms, ball pit and tubes, this will be a day full of energy burning, after-school fun!
3/16, Gardens – University of California, Riverside Botanic Gardens from 8a.m. to 5p.m. Admission is a $5 suggested donation. Parking is limited by the entrance for a small fee, and permits are to be purchased just inside the Gardens’ entrance. Various horticultural collections from the Rose Garden and Herb Garden to the Subtropical Fruit Orchard, the Cactus Garden and more will provide visitors with a unique outdoor experience in Riverside.
3/17, County Museum – San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Admission ranges from $5 to $10, and children under five are admitted free. There are many exhibits and things to do at this great museum, however the little animal lovers in your life will likely love the Hall of Geological Wonders. Be sure to explore the many exhibits this interesting museum has to offer.
3/17, Family Fun Center – Visit Fiesta Village Family Fun Park in Colton from 11a.m. to 9p.m. Fiesta Village has been serving the Inland Empire community with pure family fun for over 40 years now! Come by during the day to enjoy their fun Batting Cages, Go Karts, Mini-Golf, Lazer Tag, Arcade and Roller Skating. See website for pricing, and have a blast!
3/18, Kids Class – Romp-O-Mania at Romp-O-Rama in Corona at 5p.m. This class is for children ages two and older. Your little ones will love this energetic class. Music and dance will build your child’s confidence, and they will also have a great time! Classes are first come, first served. See website for pricing options.
3/18, Indoor Playground – Visit Hippity Hop in Norco from 10a.m. to 6p.m. Admission is $10 for the first child, $8 second child and $5 for each additional child for children ages nine months to seven years old. This indoor playground features everything your young child needs to have an engaging day with jungle gyms, new toys and so much more. Keep in mind that clean socks must be worn by adults and kids, and there is no time limit. You are also welcome to bring your own food.
