The 32nd Annual Big Train Show is chugging into the Ontario Convention Center May 21st and 22nd for two days devoted to model trains and enthusiasts.
The show is designed to allow everyone from seasoned collectors to budding enthusiasts to gather. It is also a popular place for families to come experience the world of model train collecting. The Convention Center will be full of model trains of all sizes and gauges with manufacturers and collectors available for questions or to purchase items. There are also clinics and educational opportunities for beginning collectors and anyone wanting to learn more about model trains.
There are plenty of model train sets running at the event, some with sounds or other effects for kids to enjoy, and train rides for an additional fee. TKids 12 and under are admitted into the show free of charge. There are also two chartered bus tours to see private model train collections on Thursday, May 19th to Orange County and Friday, May 20th to Hemet. Cost is $45 per person.
You can also attend the USA Train Banquet on Saturday with dinner, entertainment and a limited edition train piece. Tickets are $45 for the dinner.
The Big Train Show is at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764. Hours are Sat., May 21st from 10a.m.-6p.m. and Sun. from 10a.m.-4p.m. Presale tickets are $10, admission is $12 at the door, kids 12 and under are admitted free. Group rates available.
