We spring forward this weekend, and we're ready for the longer sunny days ahead of us.  But before we lose an hour, have some fun this weekend with our great list of local weekend events.

3/5-8, Concert - Opera showcase at La Sierra University’s Hole Memorial Auditorium. Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 seniors, $5 for students and six and under free.

3/7-8, Rummage Sale – Rummage Sale at The Grove Community Church from 9 a.m.-4  p.m. 35,000 sq. feet of items. Proceeds go to local outreach programs.

3/7, Comedy – Kathleen Madigan at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $19-35 plus fees.

3/7, Duran Duran Tribute - Catch RIO tribute to Duran Duran at Romano's Concert Lounge.

3/7, Run - Sandals Fit 5K beginning at Sandals Church. Registration open before 5K starts at 7:30 a.m., kids fun run at 9:15 a.m. Registration is $40 for adults, $30 for fun run. Fundraiser for youth summer camp assistance.

3/7, Beautification Project – Council Ward 7 Beautification project at Rutland Park from 8-11 a.m. Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, tools will be provided.

3/7, Festival - Neighborfest from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Washington Park.  Booths, community development and local entertainment and artists. Free admission.

3/7, Running Wild - Join us for a 5K, 10K or a 1 mile fun run along the beautiful Santa Ana River Trail

3/8, Free Show - Enjoy a Sunday night at Mission Tobacco Lounge with a free concert, starting at 6 p.m.



Thru 3/7, Theater - Catch To Kill a Mockingbird at the Lifehouse Theater. Tickets start at $7

3/6, Concert - Inside Riot performs at Mill Creek Cattle Co & Diamond Jim/s Saloon from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Free admission.

3/8, Run - 32nd annual A Run Through Redlands beginning at 7 a.m. at the Redlands Mall. 5K, 10K and half marathon, kinder dash registration in front of Lincoln Shrine race day. 2K color splash race Sunday. See website for registration details.


3/7, Concert - The Self Help Festival at the National Orange Show Event Center. Indoor and outdoor stages, music starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $42.50 plus fees online, cash only at door. Parking is $15.

3/7, Reading – Author Lynn Williams book signing and reading at the Feldheym Central Library, Kellogg Room B from 12-4 p.m.

3/7, Youth Art Class - Drawing class by cartoonist Phil Yeh from 2-5 p.m. at the Feldheym Central Library, Kellogg Room A. Class open to ages 10 and up.

3/7, REM Motocross - REM Saturday Motocross brings together REM racers to quality for the Quarterly Challenge. Check event details for more info.



3/6-8, 13-15, Theater - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat performed by Christian Arts and Theater at the Corona Civic Center Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 -14, additional $2 when purchased at the door.

3/6, Concert - Hurrikane, Scorpions tribute band at M15 Concert Bar and Grill beginning at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $15 for the all-ages event. 

3/7, Landscaping – California-friendly landscaping workshop hosted by City of Corona Dept. of Water and Power from 1-4 p.m. at City Hall multi-purpose room.
3/7, Concert - Andy Kowatch Memorial Concert featuring Alien Ant Farm, the Color Red and more at M15 Concert Bar and Grill beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 presale, $25 at the door for the 18 and over event.

3/8, Fundraiser - The Friends of Riverside Community College Districy Forensic’s benefit art auction from 3-6 p.m. at Eagle Glen Golf Club. $10 admission. Local and student artists, raffle items and more.


3/7, Derby – Trout Derby at Prado Regional Park from 7 .m.-1 p.m. $20 entry fee per person, $10 parking, gates open at 6 a.m.


3/6, Lecture - “Urban Nature: Human Nature" presented by Dr. Peter Del Tredici from 4-5 pm at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. Part of the Seminars in Systematic & Evolutionary Botany series hosted by RSABG and the Claremont Graduate University Department of Botany. 

3/6, Art Walk - Come out to Claremont Village for the launch of the First Friday Art Walk season, happening every first Friday, 6-9 p.m.

3/7, Lanscaping - Sustainable garden design class #1 at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. First of two classes available. $45 public, $36 member price, register online.

3/7, Comedy - LOL at Flapper's Comedy Club with Nick Cobb, seen on Comedy Central´s "Live at Gotham," VH1's "Morning Buzz," MTV´s "FN MTV," AMC's "Date Night" as well as on NBC´s "Last Comic Standing"

3/8, Cocktail Social - Get ready for St. Patrick's Day with Vom Fass at their Irish Cocktail Social - demos, cocktail tastings and light appetizers. Tickets $25.



3/5-7, Crafts - Pomona Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival at The Fairplex Building G from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Classes, workshops, demos, vendors and more. $10 entry or free with printed flyer, see website for details.

3/7-8, Celtic Fair - Celtic Fair at the Fairplex Saturday from 12-11 p.m. and Sunday 12/6 p.m. Sheepherding, storytelling, live performances and more. Admission is $10 for 13 and up, $5 for ages 6-12, under 6 free. Parking is $10 at Gate 17.

3/8, Railroad - Garden railroad open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oldest and largest public operating railroad, trains travel through California history. Located near Gate 1, free admission to exhibit.



3/6-8, Comedy – Chris D’Elia at the Ontario Improv Friday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m., Saturday at 7:00 and 9:15 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30, two item minimum.  

3/7, Basketball - Los Angeles D-Fenders vs. Texas Legends at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10-30, parking is $10 cash.

3/7, Family Event – Aviation Family Discovery Day at the Museum of History & Art from 12-4 p.m. Aviation celebration with photo booth and interactive stations. Free admission.
3/7, Cheerleading - CHEERSPORT Southern California Grand Championship at the Ontario Convention Center. Participant fees vary, see site for details. $10 spectator fee cash only, 10 and under free.

3/7, Concert - "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber" at the Gardiner W. Spring Auditorium at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $38.50-77.50.



 3/7-15, weekends, Theater - “The Prince and the Pauper “ at the Lewis Family Playhouse Saturdays at 1 and 4 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. General admission $18, senior/youth are $16.

Ongoing, Magic Tree House - The Western Science Center exhibit allows visitors to branch out through history via a magical, time-traveling tree house.

 3/7, Ladies Night Out - 50 Shades of Sexy Experience at the Perris Fairgrounds’ Harrison Hall from 7-11 p.m. Cash bar, vendors, male revue, fashion show and more. $30 general admission, $35 preferred, $45 VIP and 100 ultimate.

3/7, Swap Meet - Spring Railroadiana Swap Meet at the Orange Empire Railway Museum from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Fundraiser for the museum includes railroad model items, collectibles and antiques. Admission is $7 adults, 5-11 are $5 and under 5 free.

3/7, Expo - City of Moreno Valley Expo 2015 at the Conference and Recreation Center from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Explore recreation classes offered and meet instructors. Free admission to event.

3/7, Run - Diamond Valley Lake Marathon fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. 5K through marathon options, kid and senior walk/runs. Registration is $25-80, kids fun run is $15.

3/7, Backyard Composting - Head to the free backyard composting workshop at the Hemet Public Library



3/7, Polar Plunge – Polar Plunge fundraiser at Big Bear Lake to raise money for Special Olympics Inland Empire. Participants who raise $50 get prize pack. Hot tubs, family fun area and more, see website for details.

3/7, Boy Scouts - Scout Merit Badge Day at Bear Mountain. Discounted lift tickets, lessons and rentals, family can use discounted rate. Opportunity to earn snow sports merit badge.

3/8, Concert - KROQ ‘storms’ Bear Mountain with free concert and party. The Orwells and The Offspring perform at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. , DJ Jeremiah Red playing music all day.

3/8, Snow Sports - Goldsmith’s Board House annual Ski and Snowboard race series 4 at Snow Summit. Open to anyone ages 6-20, registration starts at 8 a.m., see site for details.



Now through 3/8, Film Festival - Native Film Fest through Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. Films showing at Camelot Theaters, ticket prices are $7-10 per film, all-access $50. See website for schedule.

3/5-8, Art Festival - La Quinta Art Festival at the Civic Center Campus from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Single day entry $15, $20 for multi-day pass.

3/7-8, Gun Show - Victorville Gun Show at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $9, 14 and under free.

3/7-8, Art Festival - Desert Arts Festival from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Frances Stevens Park. Free admission and parking.

3/7, Art  - Free Second Saturday at the Palm Springs Art Museum from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free admission and activities.

3/7, Run  - Palm Springs Lions Shamrock 5K Run/Walk through downtown Palm Springs. Registration day of race is $40. 1K kids race available. See website for details and registration.

3/7, Comedy - Kathy Griffin at Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $65-85.



3/6, Art Exhibition - Art off the Walls on Mercedes art gathering from 7-9 p.m. at The Truax Building.

3/6-7, Car Show - Temecula Rod Run through Old Town Temecula. Friday night cruise from 5-8 p.m., Saturday car show 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Live entertainment and vendors, event is free to the public.

3/7-8, Wine Festival - World of Wine self-guided tour through Temecula wineries from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $99 ticket includes map, passport and souvenir glass.

3/7, Family Day - Science Saturday at the Western Science Center Museum from 10:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Free event includes activities inspired by “The Magic Tree House” books and exhibit. Additional fee to enter museum. 

3/7, Fundraiser - Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School’s annual “Run for the Roses” fundraiser at Thorton Winery beginning at  5 p.m. Dinner tickets are $90, raffle tickets are $20.

3/7, Rod Run - Annual Temecula Rod Run rolls into town 5-8 p.m. with over 700 cars on display. Enjoy the kids fun zone, vendors and live entertainment all day long.
