From a fresh snowfall in the mountains to some fun-filled daytime family events, there is an Inland Empire weekend event out there for everyone to enjoy!

Defense Arts Center has been serving the Inland Empire for over 44 years teaching traditional martial arts for children and adults of all ages and skill levels. The variety of classes, taught by experienced professional instructors include karate-do, kendo, laido, kobudo, judo, aikido and more. With a new location in Upland, Defense Arts Center is a studio dedicated to the passing on the tradition, discipline and core values of martial arts to children, teens, adults and seniors. 4/2, Fishing – Aaron’s Big Bear Lake Bass Tournament qualifying tourney at Big Bear Lake. Team tournament entry fee $180, see website for entry form and details. Cash prizes.

4/2, Festival - Garden Festival Family Event from 10a.m.-2p.m. with the Water Saving Garden Friendly City Hall demonstration gardens. Kids activities, local businesses, education and more. Free event.



4/1-3, Racing - The 5th Annual NMCA WEST Spring Nationals at the Auto Club Dragway with bracket racing ad autocross. Free parking and pit access, entry is $20. Kids 12 and under free.

4/1-3, Racing – The Mario Andretti Experience with a chance to drive or ride along in an Indy-style race car at the Auto Club Speedway. Check website for registration details.

4/1-3, Comedy - JashFest at Snapshot Studios Friday – Sunday from 2p.m.-12a.m. on multiple stages. See website for performance schedule, weekend tickets are $75.

4/2, Run - 4th annual Run For Ike event benefitting the Palm Springs K-9 unit beginning the Palm Springs Police Station  8a.m. See website for registration, fee is $35 online, race morning is $40. Kids junior dash is $5. Safety fair afterwards.

4/2, Festival - Brew at the Zoo at The Living Desert from 6:30-9:30p.m. Live entertainment, beer, wine and food from local restaurants. Tickets are $70 for members, $75 for visitors at the door, designated drivers $40.

4/2, Run - Pomona Valley Workshop Annual Run/Walk for Adults with Disabilities at the Fairplex at 7a.m. with 5K and 1K events. $5 pancake breakfast until 10a.m.

4/2, Dance - World of Dance urban dance competition at the Fairplex buildings 7 and 9 from 2-10p.m. Tickets are $40.


4/1, Car Show - A Lot Full of VW’s car show and concert by All Marbles Band at The Mitten Building at 6p.m. Free for spectators, $10 for car spots.

4/2-5/1, Theater - Moses at LifeHouse Theater Fridays at 7:30p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 and 7:30p.m. and Sundays at 2:15p.m. Tickets are $16-20 for adults, $8-10 for children 3-11, under 3 not admitted. Tickets $1 more day of show.
