Whether your crew is back again after a summer off from college, or you’ve packed the beach gear away now that the kids are back on the bus every morning, the weekends are undeniably the best time to hang out, chill out, or go explore the Inland Empire. Check out some of the fun Inland Empire weekend events we’ve found for you in this week's Weekend Fun Guide!

This week our team was busy visiting GLO Mini Golf and chatting with local Rag House Records in honor of Womens Equality Day! We hope you stay busy this weekend enjoying the IE's good times.






8/27-28, Concert - American Idol Live at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 7p.m. Tickets are $39-340.

8/28-9/6, weekends, TheaterChitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Box at the Fox Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $25 for the 8p.m. show.

8/28, Expo Bridal expo at Crestmore Manor from 7-10 p.m. Wedding vendors, food samples and drawing. Free admission.

8/28, Soccer UCR soccer vs USC soccer at the University of California, Riverside soccer field at 7p.m. Free admission to students and children under three, see site for details, $5 parking fee.

8/28, Stargazing Fourth Friday series event at the Ameal Moore Nature Center from 8-10p.m. Crafts and activities for the family, followed by a hike to stargaze with the Riverside Astronomical Society. Free to the public.  

8/29, Concert 9th annual Rockachola at Mission Tobacco Lounge beginning at 2p.m. Record hop followed by live music beginning at 5p.m.. Free before 6 p.m. with RSVP, $10 after.

8/29, Workshop Plant-based diet class with Necessary Nutrition from 10-11:30 a.m. Registration for members and first-time guests $15, see site for details.

8/29, Fundraiser Riverside Municipal Auditorium’s Charitable Foundation’s dinner auction at the Mission Inn from 6-10p.m. Contact event organizers for details.
8/29, repeating weekly, Magic Magician and illusionist Anthony Hernandez at Castle Park from 4:30-5:30p.m. Included with admission.



Now through 8/30, Theater  Exit Laughing at Redlands Footlighters Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15.

Now through 9/27, Theater  Paul: The Road to Damscus at LifeHouse Theater Fridays at 7:30p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 and 7:30p.m. and Sundays at 2:15p.m.  Tickets are $14-18 for adults, $7-9 for children 3-11, under 3 not allowed. Tickets $1 more days of show.

8/29, MusicCarnival of the Instruments at Trinity Episcopal from 10a.m.-1p.m. Instruments available for kids over three to play, free popcorn and beverages. Free to the public.


8/29, Motorcross REM weekly motorcross races at Glen Helen Raceway. Practice races are $25 per bike entering park, free for spectators.

8/29, Concert Kid Rock at San Manuel Amphitheater at 6:45p.m. Tickets are $20.


8/28-29, Magic – Magician and Illusionist Anthony Hernandez at Tom’s Farms Saturday and Sunday 12-2:30p.m. Free show.

8/28, Concert Tartar Control at M15 Concert Bar and Grill at 7p.m. All ages concert, see site for ticket price.

8/29, Concert Hammer of the Broads at M15 Concert Bar and Grill at 7p.m. Tickets are $5 for the all-ages concert.

8/29, ConcertDiamond is Forever featuring David J. Sherry at The Grove Theater at 8p.m. Tickets are $25-40.



8/28, Concert Acerogami Indie Rock Dance party at The Glass House at 9p.m. Free admission to the 21 and over event.

8/29, Art Wckr Spgt performance art event as part of their summer sitting series at dA Center for the Arts at 5:30p.m.

8/28-29, Comedy Sheryl Underwood at the Ontario Improv Comedy Club Friday at 7:30p.m. and 9:45p.m. and Saturday at 7p.m. and 9:15p.m. Tickets are $27.

8/29, MMA King of the Cge presents “Bitter Rivals” at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 6p.m. Tickets are $40.

8/29, Dinner Theater The Dinner Detective murder mystery dinner theater at the Ontario Convention Center at 6:15p.m. Tickets are $64.95, see website for reservations and menu.



8/28-29, Motorcycles Fastrack Riders motorcycle school at the Auto Club Speedway. Check website for pricing and reservations.

8/29, Test & Tune Open Test & Tune event at the Auto Club Dragway beginning at 9a.m. Drivers are $50, crew and spectators are $10.

8/30, Drag Racing Street-legal drag racing at the Auto Club Dragway beginning at 9a.m. Drivers are $20, spectators are $10. Must have valid license, registration and insurance.

Now through 9/5, weekly, Tour – 1 ½ hour walking tour of Old Town Temecula at 10a.m. beginning at Temecula Valley Museum. $2 per person, reservations needed.

8/29-30, Festival –Hatch Chili Festival in Town Square Park from 11a.m.-6p.m. Saturday and Sunday performances, Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Chili Pepper contest. Complimentary chili roasting available. 

8/29, Wine Class – Oak Mountain Winder wine blending class at 11 a.m. Cost is $80 per student, reserve online. 

8/30, Fundraiser – Bark for Life of Temecula at Ronald Regan Sports Park from 8-11a.m. Entertainment, prizes, dogs welcome.
