For some of us, this may be the last weekend of summer fun before preparing for school to start, while some have already started. But summer events aren't over. Go out and enjoy one of the great Inland Empire weekend events in this week's Weekend Fun Guide.

8/7-9, Crossfit - SoCal Summer Classic competition at KO Crossfit. Registration is $95-380, $30 for WODS for Warriors. See website for teams and competition information.

8/7-9, Theater - 3rd Annual One Act Festival by Gold Leaf Productions at the Riverside Women’s Club Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 3 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $8 presale or $12 for 2 nights, see website for selections.

8/7, Concert - Montgomery Gentry at the Fox Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35-65.

8/8-9, Swim - Riverside Masters Invitational hosted by the Riverside Aquettes at the Riverside Aquatics Complex from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Free admission.  

8/8, Craft - Free Summer Saturday printmaking session at the Riverside Art Museum from 12-3 p.m. Free to the public.

8/8, Fundraiser – Please Be Safe 2nd Annual Walk-A-Thon at Hunter Hobby Park Trail beginning at 8 a.m. Fundraiser and awareness event for safe driving.

8/8, Art - Art on Tap! Late Night Bash for Arts Education at the Riverside Art Museum from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Craft projects, beer, entertainment and more. Tickets are $20 for one, $30 for two.

8/8, National Night Out - Come see the Batmobile and DeLorean at Lincoln Park. Raffle prizes, free snacks, activities and more! 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Lincoln Park 4261 Park Ave.

Now through 8/9, Theater – Final weekend for “Sleeping Beauty” at LifeHouse Theater Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:15 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:15 p.m. Tickets are $14-18 adults, $7-9 for kids ages 3-11.

8/7-9, Theater - Redlands Theater Festival continues with “Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike”, “The Grimm World” and “The Buddy Holly Story” in Prospect Park at 8:30 p.m. See website for schedule, tickets are #21, season and group asses available.

8/7, Concert - Redlands Symphony Orchestra performs at8:15 p.m. at the Redlands Bowl as part of the summer music festival. Free admission.

8/8, Motocross - Motocross practice races at Glen Helen Raceway beginning at 10 a.m. $25 fee per motorcycle.

8/8, Animal Show – San Bernardino Public Library summer reading program finale animal show at 2 p.m. in the Bing Wong Auditorium.



8/7-16, Theater – Christian Arts and Theater Summer Festival features “Aladdin”, “Lucky Stiff” and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare”. Tickets are $24, see website for schedule.

8/8, Concert - Aerorocks and Back 2 Black at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $5 for the all-ages show.


8/8, Workshop - Water Landscape Workshop focusing on irrigation systems and controller at the Chino Basin Water Conservation District at 9 a.m. Free to the public.

8/7-9, Expo – Hot Tub and Swimspa Show at the Fairplex Friday 12-8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Parking is $10 at Gate 9, free admission.  

8/7, Art Walk - Art Walk in Downtown Pomona from 6-9 p.m. Free admission to galleries, local businesses open late.

8/8-9, Trains – RailGiants Train Museum from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Fairplex. Free admission.

8/8-9, Expo – Reptile Super Show at the Fairplex Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $9 for ages 12 and under. Parking is $10 at Gate 9.

8/9, Swap Meet - Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show at the Fairplex from 5 a.m.-2 p.m. General admission is $10, children 12 and under are free. Parking is $10 at Gate 17. 

8/9, Trains - The Garden Railroad at the Fairplex open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oldest and largest operating model train, free to the public. Located near Gate 1.



Now through 10/25, Exhibit - “Petals to Panoramas” photo exhibit at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. Gallery is open 10 a.m.-4 .m., included with standard admission of $4-8.

8/7-9, Scavenger Hunt - Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition’s Bicycle Photo Scavenger Hunt. Free registration, awards from 12-2 p.m. Sunday for first to finish, best of and more.


8/7, Conference - Black and Gold Conference opener at Abundant Living Family Church at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.

8/8, Bend & Breathe - Stretching class in the Himalayan Salt Cave at Salt Oasis at 10:30 a.m. Class is $20, bring a friend for $5 off.

8/7-9, Comedy - Mitch Fatel at the Ontario Improv Comedy Club Friday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m., Saturday at 7 and 9:15 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20, dress code and minimum purchase applies.

8/8, Dinner Show - The Dinner Detective murder mystery dinner shoe at the Ontario Convention Center from 6:15-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $64.96, see website for menu.


8/8, Fundraiser – Bark for Life of Norco at Pikes Peak Park from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

 8/8, Exotics - Drive an exotic car or ride along with one with Exotics Racing at the Auto Club Speedway. Packages start at $199, see website for details.


8/8, Beer Festival - Lake Arrowhead Brewfest in the Blue Jay Village parking lot from 12-6 p.m. General admission is $35 online, $40 at the door, $15 for designated drivers.



Now through 8/16, weekends, Renaissance Faire – Big Bear Renaissance Fair at Pederson’s Mill from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Single day admission I $15 for adults, $12 for ages 6-12, seniors, military and students. 5 and under free. Weekend and season passes available.

8/7-9, Fun Run - Big Bear Fun Run car show at Big Bear Village, including drive around the lake Saturday afternoon. Free for spectators.


8/7, Art Walk - First Friday Art Walk at Crystal Fantasy from 6-9 p.m. Free to the public.

8/8-9, Festival - Splash House music festival at the Saguaro Hotel, Hilton Hotel and the Hard Rock Hotel. Weekend tickets are $115, packages available.

8/9, Museum - Free Second Sundays at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Family activities, film screening and art exhibits, free to the public from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.



8/7, Exhibit - “art off the Walls” at the Truax Building from 6-9 p.m. Free to the public, features local artists.

8/7, Concert - Sundresses & Cowboy Boots music festival at Longshadow Ranch Winery from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $25.

8/8, Festival - Off Road Nights Dirt Lifestyle Festival from 2-10 p.m. at the Promenade Temecula.

8/9, Concert – “Next Women of Country” music festival at Wilson Creek Winery at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50-90.
