Shout out to our Weekend Fun Guide sponsor, Repertory Opera Company in Pomona. It is opening weekend for one of the grandest of Italian operas, Aida. Get your tickets today, and prepare to be captiavted by the story of an Ethiopian princess named Aida. Repertory Opera Company’s production of Aida runs Saturday May 21, 28 and June 4, 2016 at 2 p.m., and on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students and children. 5/21-22, Walk - Nature Walks at the Big Bear Discovery Center at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Sunday. Free participation.

5/21, Zoo - Bear Awareness Day at the Big Bear Alpine Zoo from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Free with zoo admission of $9-12.

5/21, Concert - Bonfire, AC/DC tribute band at The Cave at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.



Now through 5/28, Theater - How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at the Candlelight Pavilion with dinner shows beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and Sundays at 5 p.m, Saturday and Sunday luncheon at 11 a.m. Tickets are $58-73, see website for details.

5/22, Festival - Folk Festival presented by the Claremont Folk Music Center & Museum at Sontag Greek Theater at Pomona College with workshops beginning at 11 a.m. and concerts beginning at 3 p.m. Tickets are $30.



5/20, Concert - Tim Montana and The Shrednecks at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door for the 18 and over event.

5/21, Concert - The Iron Maidens at M15 Concert Bar and Grill. Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15 for the all-ages event.



5/20, Concert - Saliva at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa at 10 p.m. Tickets are $20-40.

5/20, Concert - The Long Run, Eagles tribute band at Spotlight 29 Casino at 8 p.m. Free admission.

5/20-21, Comedy - Small Servings of Comedy at the Arthur Newman Theater Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $26-28.

5/21, Festival - Deserted at the Palm music festival at The Palms. $30 ticket covers admission and camping fees. Food vendors, live entertainment and more.

5/21-23, 26-30, Fair - San Bernardino County Fair at the Victorville Fairgrounds beginning at noon each day and Thursday and Friday at 4p.m. Admission is $7, carnival wristband is $25. See site for schedule.

5/21, Block Party - Indio Community Block Party with live music, car show and vendors from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in Old Town Indio. Free admission.



5/20-22, Racing - NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at the Auto Club Dragway beginning at 8 a.m. each day. Admission is $20 each day, kids 12 and under admitted free.

5/21, Car Show - All-American Car & Truck Show at the Auto Club Speedway from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

5/21-22, Expo - The Big Train Show at the Ontario Convention Center Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Model train exhibits and vendors. Admission at the door is $12, kids 12 and under admitted free.

5/21, Hockey - Calder Cup Playoffs continue with the Ontario Reign at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13-65. Parking is $5 cash.
